I did a quick search on the Rona website for soil... here is the link click here how do i know what soil is the best? also on page 2 there is a soil test kit, is that useful?
I cant comment on that type of soil, but I know foxfarm and blackgold are very popular and work well. I would pass on the soil test kit for several reasons - 1. That test kit if you look close has little pills, each pill is good for one test, so you would only get 3 tests out of it, and I dont believe thats a pH tester 2. You dont want to test the soil itself, the best way is to purchase a pH test kit and test the water run off after watering the girls.
