Rolling a Blunt in a Cannabis Fan Leaf....

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by chiefMOJOrisin, Jan 11, 2008.

  1. Has anyone ever smoked a blunt that was 100% cannabis?? A few nights ago, the only buddy I have that grows came over with his girl to smoke some ganj. My girl was there too, so we had 4 people throwing down. (Well, really only 2 seeing my girl and his NEVER pay for herb...but thats besides the point.) We were smoking on the Kushage he grew from T.H. Seeds.... and some hash oil made using the butane method that was a combination of heady nugs/keif/leaves. My buddy knows I have some plants veggin and suggested rolling a blunt in a fan leaf.

It was awesome. I suggest anyone who's reeeeally into weed to try this out. Its especially cool if all the materials were homegrown. The main reason I'm posting this thread is to see if anyone has done this before...and more so, if they know how to. And if they do, if they have instructions or tips on how mine can be better. My buddy likes to be a douche and won't tell me exactly how to do it. I was half watching him, half watching 12 Monkeys, and half fooling around. Too many halves to know exactly how to roll it, but I remember a little from watching him and what he was saying during. Afterwards I attempted to roll my own.... quite unsuccessfully. However I have since rolled 3 that came out very nice.

First and foremost (duh) break up the bud have it ready. For this, and like any blunt, the bud needs to be well ground and without stems. We don't want little holes poking out. And it helps to use dank.....just because, personally... I like to get high when I smoke.

Second, I don't know if its possible without using has oil as a glue/stabilizer. I'm sure other substance would work, but then it wouldn't be 100% cannabis.

Ok...ya know how a living weed leaf will become 'soft' before drying/burning when it is exposed to heat?? Well thats how the fan leaf needs to be for optimum control. So take a large fan leaf and cut off each finger as close to the stem as possible....the 2 largest fingers are used.

Take the smaller of the fingers first and put the herb in it as if it were a normal blunt. Roll the bottom half under the top half like a normal blunt, but smear a little hash oil on the underside of the top half and on the top of the bottom half. **The oil goes in the same place the licking glue is on rolling papers** Once the first leaf is rolled relatively tight, (first wrap doesn't need to be perfect....just well contained) smear a small amount of oil over the seams and a decent amount all over the whole blunt.

**The leaves need to be soft....not fully alive and before they start to become dry.**

Before rolling up the second leaf finger, smear some hash oil over what will be the inside of the leaf. Now take the oil apllied, second, bigger leaf finger and start rolling it over the blunt. Start by covering the seam of the first leaf with the second leaf and then roll it up tight. Once again, use the hash oil as if it were the glue on a rolling paper. I can't express how useful and important the hash oil is. Unlike blunt wraps/cigars, the leaves haven't been rolled and packaged for months.... normal blunt rolling materials already have a curl to them and the marijuana leaves can be very difficult to work with.

Once the blunt is rolled, allow it to dry and smoke that bitch.

    ***IMPORTANT***
    • The leaves will be VERY delicate. Removing all stems is a must and extra delicate care is required or else the leaf will rip.
    • Make sure the blunt is totally dry before smoking or else it will burn ridiculously uneven due to the hash oil.
    • DO NOT apply heat to the blunt to dry it out. Doing so can fuck up all your work.
    • DO NOT allow the blunt to become super dried out. This too can fuck up all you work.

  2. :DVery nice.. I've heard of this being done before and would love to give it a try at some point!!! The tip of using bho to bind the leaves together is awesome and something I wouldn't have thought about! It must have tasted sooo good and clean! Cool stuff.. + rep!!!:smoking:

  3. i make at least one from every plant i grow. they're amazing!

  4. take a picture of the next one..i tried it once with no success

  5. definatly gonna try that shit but i dont have hash oil and dont plan on making any you think honey or something like that would work?

  6. Maybe not honey, but something similar. My hash oil was stickier than honey.

A friend of mine once tried to cut off the glues strips from rolling papers to use them on a blunt. It actually worked..... it just takes some using the old gulliver to figure out how many strips are needed and how to position them.

  7. cant wait to do this myself.

they have blunt glue, but id much rather use hash oil myself.

  8. I've heard of some people doing this, but I don't personally know anyone that grows well enough to say " Hey, can I bum a leaf? " But I'd LOVE to do it. It sounds incredible :(

  9. I heard of this and I'm trying it with the male plant I'm growing for practice. An all marijuana blunt would be a beautiful thing.

  10. the way i do is roll it with fresh everything, straight from the plant. roll it up and tie some string around it to keep it together and let it dry like that and it won't fall apart.

  11. fresh buds too?

  12. Does anyone have a pic of one of these bad boys?

  13. My buddy has 2 plants so were definatly gonna do this, will take pics too. But does anyone know how to go about getting hash oil?

  14. I've done everything fresh once. Reason being that I wanted an all marijuana blunt with all components from the same individual plant. Most other times I use purchased herb and my grown leaf.... OR.... since I discovered the 'all cannabis blunt' after I dismantled my veg-cab to combine lighting, by the time the plants bud were dried and cured, the leaves from that plant were unusable and I was forced to use a leaf from a different plant.

The all fresh didn't work well for me at all. I kept ripping leaves and got frustrated after 10+ attempts at keeping the blunt together so it could dry.

Have you, or anyone else ever make a sensi-stick?? It similar in one aspect to what you do, Flark. It requires a string to be secured. This is what I do with my popcorn buds if I don't need them for ganja food........

I take a stem thats atleast 6' long and let it dry until it gets that hard, woody feel. When its about 2/3 of the way dry, I score the entire stem with an X-acto knife. The point is to make little burrs that will dry to form little nuggets grabers. All the while making sure not to compromise the integrity of the stem.

At harvest time, I take all the popcorn nuggets and set them aside from the rest of the harvest. Once I'm done manicuring and hanging the other nugs, I take about a gram of popcorn nugs and squeeze them together to make a bigger nugget/ball. I make sure to squeeze with only enough force to keep the nugs together so they are remain fluffy.... not dense squashed pancakes. I make as many of these as I feel like, but IMO, you need at least 5g to make a cool, decent sized stick.

When all my bud balls are made I am have two options.... (#2 requires a greater amount of herb than #1)
    1. I can continue combining the bud balls together, this time end on end to form a long cylindrical shape (dildo) and then insert the pre-dried stem through the center of the long nug.... gently moving the stem to make the burrs grab the nugs, but without causing the long bud to come apart.
    2. Or, I make two long nugs in the same fashion as option #1, and lay one down on a clean, flat surface. I then take the stem and lay it on top of the long nug, making sure there is at least 1/2" of stem past the ends of the nug, and gently move it up and down while twisting it to allow the burrs to get a hold of the nugs. I take the second long nug and lay it on top of the stem. Now I have to manipulate the nugs so the stem is entirely surrounded, again moving the stem slightly so the burrs can grab.
Regardless of the method chosen, the conglomerate needs to be secured. I've used many different thigsg to tie the buds down...twine, thin nylon string, thread, very thin wire, and necklace wire....among others. The one that has worked best for me is the necklace wire. It isn't as thick as some other thin wires...like picture wire for example, but it still can bend and keep its shape. In addition, it is still very flexible. So I take whatever it is I'm using and on one end, I wrap it around the exposed bit of stem enough times so it is quite secure. Before continuing on down the bug, I always give the whole thing a squeeze to get it nice and dense..... again being gentle enough for it to keep it's shape and not be squashed. Next, I continue to wrap it around in the same direction, moving my way down the nug. Usually 1/4" - 3/4" of spacing between wraps works well.... it all depends on the buds. Once I reach the end, I wrap it a bunch of times around the bit of stem on the other end and then tie a simple knot. I like to have 3-4"+ of stem coming out one end to make it like a kabob or loli-pop.

I let these sensi sticks dry and cure for just as long as the rest of the harvest. When they're done, the end result is a big, dense, sexy nugget.

There are several benefits to making these. Besides the fun of making something with marijuana, or just the arts and crafts trip, its a good way to conserve nugget. Normally, the popcorn buds would dry and shrink to single hit nugs and either get rolled in a huge, fast burning blunt.... or.... they get pakced in a bowl that torches them super fast. However, a bowl pack from a sensi stick is denser and burns slower. Same with a doobie. Attempting to combine popcorn buds after cured can result in pankcakes that left trichomes all over your fingers, or buds that crumble all over and get blown away by air coming from your nose.

I usually add popcorn nuggets to my stash that is set aside for ganja food making. But when the ganja food stash is suficient, I make me some sticks.

I'm glad you guys are into the 'Cannablunt'. Those of you who find it fun making those, will most likely enjoy making some sensi sticks.

Look up 'the butane method', Cheeb. It'll be on GC, and definitely on Google somewhere. It's one of the cheapest and easiest ways to make hash oil. And it comes out super ultra-sticky.

  15. ive tried this so many times with half dry leaves, fresh leaves everything, i can never roll it without it cracking man, you beat me to the all mj blunt!

  16. I know this old but use honey as glue.
