They are godly... I wanted to see them at Taste of Chicago but ended just listening to them on the radio live...
Yeah, these guys are great. I found out about them after I heard their cover of Orion (by Metallica). So good and catchy.
That is quite superfluous praise. While they are fun to watch and talented, saying they can't be matched is a gross overgeneralization. I've seen R&G a couple of times now, and they are a lot of fun. They play hard rocking and classic rock tunes that you know and love. More power to them.
I'm obviously not saying they're the best, im talking about their unique style of play. What a way to take that statement to heart
Don't take it personally. I've seen too many shows at this point, and only reserve ultimate praise for the most entertaining performers. Also, I have a brother who can't stop using gross overgeneralization for almost everything, and it drives me crazy, especially if it can't be backed up. Still, cheers to the OP for starting a thread on R'y'G. They're more fun than G'n'R. Here's a pic I took at the concert:
