rockwool

    do i HAVE to have rockwool, or can i just place a sprouted seed into the hydro bucket and let it drip and let it sprout or does it absolutley have to be rooted into the rockwool? this is my first try at hydro and rockwool is the only thing i need to start. any input is apreciated.

    No, you don't HAVE to have rockwool, but it sure will make your life easier. You need to put the plants in some type of medium, be it hydroton clay pellets or something like that. If you use rockwool, it just gives you one more level of support. It is not really expensive, and in my opinion you should definately use it.

    thats what im sayin will a sprouted seed make it in a bucket of hydrotron clay pellets, or does it have to be started in rockwool until decent roots, for some reason the rock wool is taking forver to make it here.
