Rockwool Cubes Seem Very Wet,

    hi i have a flood and drain system and the rockwool cubes seem very wet all the time.. plus therer are tiny roots starting at the bottoms but its going very slow... Is it because the rockwool holds so much water that it doesnt grow as fast or what???

    Or is it just that the seedling stage takes a very lnog time to get through like 3 weeks?? anybody have similar feelings??
