I want to make a road trip to my friend to california. I live in new york. How much money round trip would I be looking at to do that?
Should this be on this board or website? It all depends on so many thing like what car or path you take, where you stay at night and where and how often you eat. If you are trying to make good time then expect about a 5-6 day drive.

I only stayed in a hotel once $50 Never calculated food/drink, though I ate everyday, few times a day (snacks/meals) and always had drinks in the cooler. Take into consideration money if youre going to stop places, like national parks cost $$. Then there are other things thatll come up youll need to have $$ for..you never know out there!
