Risk vs Reward

  1. The greater the risk the greater the reward, in all circumstances.

    True or false?

  2. I like the idea behind it, but definitely false. Some instances, such as jaywalking on the freeway, are very low reward and high risk... ;)

But like I said, I love the idea behind more risk = more to gain. In some instances it is true and you DO get more the more you put on the line, but not always. some risks are just not worth it and do not entail great reward.

  3. Of course, if you consider not losing the risk a reward.

  4. True, but it's all based on perspective. The jaywalking example, by gotham, can be very rewarding, it just depends on the situation. For instance, say there's a girl. You do it, you prove you have balls, doesn't matter if she notices, you did. If there's no one around, you just proved to yourself that you did it. If you do it just to prove there is no reward, your reward is the feeling that there is no reward (Althought this kind of cancels it out, but you won't realise that till after you do it).

Not sure if that made sense.
