Huge loss for the NHL, one of the most feared players on the ice. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this, I was hoping to see some great matchups with this guy against my Devils next year. Big losses for Minnesota though, losing Boogaard and soon Killebrew.
They're thinking it may be a result of all the concussions he has received during his career. The family just allowed his brain to be donated so we should have an answer in the next week. He didn't play much of this season since his concussion in December.
I don't follow hockey, but I have to say I appreciate him donating his brain to help study concussions. Its a noble act.
Saw this the other day stuff like this hits me hard he was a great player and couldnt wait to watch him get out on the ice and fight again. RIP big man.
RIP Big guy.... Boogaard was a class act. He paid for 4 seats for kids to every single NYR game, even the ones he didn't play in. A gentle giant. See you soon Boogeyman.
