ok so i got a myrtlezap on thursday. it is my first vaporizer so keep that in mind when you read my review. i'm also high as hell from using my new myrtlezap. appearance there are now imperfections in the wood. it is nice, but it is also plain. the wood pattern is not very interesting. the flower and dragonfly are cool. it is what i expected from the description on the sight. ease of use this thing is incredibly easy to use. you grind the weed, suck the weed into the tube. pat it, stick it in the myrtlezap and breathe. not including the grinding it takes about 10 seconds. the only reason bad thing is the tubes heat up pretty hot and they stay hot for a little while. i can now see the benefit of having a 3rd tube instead of the car adapter lol. efficiency i think from all the reviews just going ape shit over the efficiency of this product made me set my hopes a little unrealistically high, so i was slightly let down. however the efficiency is very nice. there is a very noticeable difference in how much it takes me to get high by smoking and how much it takes me by vaping. taste there is a very nasty after taste. i am not sure what it is from. the initial taste is a 10/10, but the after taste is 1/10 value i spent $157 on this, and it was worth the money. it will pay for itself within a few months because of it's efficiency. quality of the hits so i was expecting to get small hits off this thing, but i have taken some massive rips. they still make me cough surprisingly, but it is different from the feeling of smoke making u cough, this is more peppery... like eating a spicy food and it makes u cough. you only get a few hits per pack. you have to pull pretty hard to hit it. it's like drinking a milkshake. even when i pack it loosely. i've also used it a lot as an aroma diffuser. it works well, but i need to head to the store to get some differently scented oils. not a huge fan of the lemon it came with. overall i give this product 8.75/10
I've had a Myrtlezap for about 4 months. Overall happy with it. Uses much less MMJ than if I smoked it ( about 1/3 ). Able to taste flavor of the various strains I use. Takes about 45 - 60 minutes to heat up if one doesn't leave it on all the time. My one downside is that I think it is overpriced, considering it is a piece of myrtle wood with a heating element embedded in the center. On this point I'm willing to be corrected.
since you bumped my old thread, i might as well make a few updates. the aftertaste has gone away. it was most definitely caused by the copper, but it's oxidized a bit since then so no more nasty taste. so my suggestion for anyone who gets this product, let your straws/tubes sit in the myrtlezap while it's on for a while until they start to turn blueish. i do use about 50% less weed which is very nice.
Copper? There's no copper used in the manufacture of the Zap. It's brass and it's one of the reasons why I prefer the Purple Days being that the heat exchanger is 100% stainless steel, but others love their Zap. Ya got a good vape there. Enjoy.
