Reverse Osmosis water Vs. Natural Rain Water for Germination (& even long term) in indoor grow

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by ArastasHatchet1, May 11, 2021.

  1. This has been rattling around in my thoughts for quite a while now. I'm very curious to know if there is anyone out there who might have already covered some ground with this. Please feel free to tell me it depends on how close to a polluted area and proximity to the coast and altitude and even Latitude as a factor.
No seriously though, in general, would Rain water be better?

  2. Doesn't matter as far as germination.

I have been warned that catching water off a roof gutter is a pest concern.

    ???

I grow indoors with no sprays or repellants. I choose to use RO.

  4. I too use RO, but really just think its funny that many of us go way out of the way or even pay tons of cash for Super Fancy Water (lol). Meanwhile, every single naturally growing plant on the planet just looks up and waits for the skies to open up. But you're right, collecting rainwater can indeed be a huge pest problem. Only if you let it though.
But that's also kinda the reason why I wonder why so many people insist on store bought water and wet paper towels. Don't seeds germinate all the time in whatever medium they land in? Like dirt (usually). I bet a cannabis seed would germinate in a sweaty pocket if given half a chance. Lmfao. Kinda gross, but I wouldn't be too suprised.
