Effective against damage from caterpillars, cabbage white butterflies, aphids and other sap suckers Contains Calcium + UN65 and other ingredients: calcium chloride solution - 10% CaO, 7.2% w/w calcium. Instructions: Shake vigorously before use. Wash sprayer before and after use. this spray I got with an order is friggin awesome ,I was after a ca spray after hearing such benefits of it and against pests and this came lol ,I sprayed them and next day my yellow plant went green ..I sprayed for mites lol didn’t expect the foliage t go dark green , so looking at it Calcium + UN65 and other ingredients: calcium chloride solution - 10% CaO, 7.2% w/w calcium. calcium chloride is derived from limestone as a by-product of the Solvay process. Calcium chloride can also be obtained from brine purification. Acetic acid which is present in vinegar is also known as Ethanoic acid. Hence now we know that vinegar reacts with sodium chloride to form hydrochloric acid. Take a beaker and place limestones in it by wearing gloves until the beaker is filled up by a quarter of its total volume. Now, add HCl (hydrochloric acid) to 1/4th of a beaker approximately to the limestone. As the Hydrochloric acid dissolves limestone, it starts generating bubbles. it’s called an inorganic salt but is approved for use in organic preserving of food ? You can buy it for fish tanks damn cheap The conversion of calcium carbonate (CaCO)3 to calcium oxide (CaO) is an example of decomposition reaction. During the reaction, calcium carbonate decomposes on heating to form calcium oxide and carbon dioxide. The reaction takes place as follows: CaCO3(s)Heat⟶CaO (s)+CO2(g) If you are wondering how to make quicklime at home, then all you need is something made of calcium carbonate, such as a piece of chalk or some seashells. Heat this over a flame until it turns red hot, and there, you have just made yourself some quicklime. then we have the un65 which is a surfactant so yucca or aloe works well I’m still looking into this but if I can make it I’d be well happy
Have you heard of or seen the recipes for homemade calphos. I think in theory it’s quite similar to what you are trying to do, except its emphasis is more towards phosphorus and calcium. They typically use egg shells. I’m sure there is a link in one of our educational type stickies here in the organics section. I’ve never made it, but read quite a few different versions of making it. I’m all for homemade stuff, good luck. Cheers Os
then you intend to inhale all this: a wash before hanging could be an idea Hazards[edit] Although non-toxic in small quantities when wet, the strongly hygroscopic properties of the non-hydrated salt present some hazards. Calcium chloride can act as an irritant by desiccating moist skin. Solid calcium chloride dissolves exothermically, and burns can result in the mouth and esophagus if it is ingested. Ingestion of concentrated solutions or solid products may cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulceration.[25] Consumption of calcium chloride can lead to hypercalcemia.[26] (wiki)
Found others like it too now lol lol what? Depends does that mean ice enelt isn’t a poisonous liquid but a calcium liquid ? I am sure that is sodium chloride not calcium Well if it’s just cao and caco3 can’t be bad it’s sold for plants organic in grazers and other you make it sound bad ? @Vee I spray in veg ? Plant absorbs calcium , buds grow and most leaves are removed by the end ? So how would this be any different t any other foilar spray ? Fish kelp silica microbes worm cast too ,,, we ain’t smokin all that aye ? I could understand if in flower but I never foilar at past week 1 the egg shell makes caco3 heated makes cao I have 25kg of cao quick lime Hydrated Lime Hydrated lime is also called calcium hydroxide. This simple substance has been mixed with water and sprayed over plants as a basic pesticide for many years. It is known to repel aphids, flea beetles, Colorado potato beetles, squash bugs, cucumber bugs and other undesirable insects. Hydrated lime is distributed with the use of a garden hose and garden sprayer and can be applied to dormant plants prior to the growing season. If applied directly to foliage or to roots, it may burn and destroy them due to its corrosive base properties. Safe for pond use Add water to produce calcium hydroxide: The calcium oxide is then mixed with water to produce calcium hydroxide. This process is known as slaking. 4. React calcium hydroxide with hydrochloric acid: The calcium hydroxide is then reacted with hydrochloric acid to produce calcium chloride and water. It’s 2 forms of calcium I guess eh ? don’t shoot me lol I love science, and I’ve spent along time making things cheaper as we al do lol started by making salt fertilizers to beat my nutrients by now I grow organically, just need ca I like foilar deliver it works wonders and reduces energy needed to use it and if deficiency is present that’s better for the last t conserve , This 1 cultivator wants a boat load of ca
Yeah that stuff is fine...the quicklime comment got me involved lol...like, what? 0.o No worries, ur on the right track.just had to check
Wahaha I love this lol Don’t use it a few things arnt organic or as avalible as cao alone but was extremely interesting to find as this Is sold as lime but isn’t lime alone
