Here's a couple of pics of this revegged white widow clone I started off using to dial in a new system, then ended up keeping since it had vegged out pretty well, and I was curious as to what it would be like to grow a revegged plant. So the deal on this clone is that a few weeks before I harvested the mother I noticed two low branches that grew well but weren't getting enough light to produce well. I clipped them off the plant, dipped the ends in some rooting powder, threw them in a vase of water and pretty much forgot about them for about a month. During that time I got interested in building this DIY automatic watering system -- which I proceeded to do with some minor alterations to the plans (I'm only using vinyl tubing, no plex, and only using button emitters -- no spike emitters After I got everything built I used the healthier of the two clones to use as a test subject while I dialed in things like volume of fertigant per feeding, number of feedings per day, maintaining a hydroponics reservoir, etc. I don't know if this is good or bad -- it's just what I ended up with. Regardless, it has been fun and instructive to grow a revegged plant. The vegetative growth as it reorganized its growth patterns was wild! At first the plant was a mass of one finger leaves and wildly mutant looking two and three finger leaves, and it seemed like every juncture between a stem and a leaf had an extra branch growing from it. Lollipopping wasn't just a good idea with this plant -- it was a necessity! There was so much vegetation it was ridiculous. I heavily lollipopped the lower two thirds of the plant, but there's still a stubborn knot of vegetation because the plant just wouldn't quit putting out new growth down there until it was finally well in flower. It's hard to say because of the wild way branches grow on a revegged plant, but I'm fairly certain that I really only topped this plant twice or three times. Nevertheless, check out that wild branch development! Also, for a plant that was only topped a few times, it has a LOT of bud sites. The latest pic was taken yesterday. I think I have at least a week to go -- I'm expecting it to be more like ten days to two weeks... but the plant decides. Just gotta wait for it. So many branches! December 7 December 25 January 2
