im harvesting the big colas from my outside sativas+ plan to put them inside under lights after 2nd harvest. How long til theyre ready again? Does this affect potency? Can ne1 give details or a link on lights+nutes etc...tyvm
If I understand the ?? 1st of all, I use a hydroponic system and use the same nutes throughout the grow..for clones or seedlings I'd lower the ppm to 1/2 or lower...trying a regen in soil would be tricky, especially as to controlling the nutes...going from outdoors to indoors should pose no issue, it's all about the light cycle... I flip the lights to 24/0 immediately after final harvest, run it until I see the new vegetative growth and flip the lights back to 12/12...then it takes about 2 weeks to flower and then 8 weeks to finish again before I flip to 24/0...In my grow, I dont need a vegetative period, except as long enuf to show growth stage...If from clones or seed I use only 12/12... In my experience, some strains {ie the whites} get better and better each harvest...I'm currently enjoying a 13th generation WW now
at what point in the plants life would you harvest if you plan to re-veg? same time as regular? what im trying to say is, if i want to take the buds off and re-veg would i flush soil ahead of time like reg harvest, trim all the buds then up the light schedule to 24/0 and give food till new growth shows up? i thought when typical harvest time is around the plant is nearly dead, so at what time exactly would it be ideal to harvest if you plan on re-veging. and im growing in soil.
I dont flush, due to reveg...I grow in hydro and I top off res with new nutes or rod water as ppm suggests...I keep ppm around 800 for seedlings and clones and 1200-1000ppm for flower... As to harvest, I wait until trichs are about 1/3 clear-1/3 cloudy-1/3, then harvest the top 2/3-3/4 of the plants, and flip lights back to 24...leave the buds in the remaining 1/4 for regen... In some grows, you need to allow for nitrogen absorbsion or the lower plant will tend to dry up... I use the Lucas Formula at about 1100ppm thru the whole cycle... due to the nature of reveg, I'd only reccommend trying it longterm in hydro, where you can control the nutes better..In soil, you really have to watch the salt build-up...
