I've tried googling and I've tried searching on here and it feels like my search parameters aren't right.... I had 4 plants, I've kept 2 that were studs to reveg. I'm guessing I need to reset the nutrient levels in the soil as I flushed it before harvest. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm looking forward to restarting. I've begun sprouting two free seeds I got, a Midnight Kush and French Cookies, to grow alongside my revegging Blue mystic and Amnesia haze. At the end of this grow I'm debating on having a retirement tent just for studs permanently in veg to be cloned or just keep revegging what I like from new strains cycled in. So something should always be revegged for a larger stock/larder of something good but to still keep the plant.... Perhaps seeds from companies like DNA and Barney's Farm are so consistent that this isn't an issue?
what do you mean....... studs ..... if there female and flowered and you left a portion of the plant just throw it under 24 hours of lighting water with non nutrient water normally , 2 weeks later you will start seeing them vegging again . start using veg nutrients later where required week 3 or so.
I think he means what most of us call a mother plant. Stud sounds like a male plant though. A stud horse is the male horse used for breeding for instance. Ive never heard anyone refer to a female plant as a stud before.
Its just an odd way of putting it. Stud always refers to a male. Hes referring to his mother plants according to the way his post reads.
Hey there, sorry for the confusion. I was talking in a colloquial manner as in the plants were just absolute beasts in size and development. Should my plants be going brown though even though I'm only giving them tap water and checking to make sure they're not dring out........ I hope this is just a quiet period whilst it adjusts to a new cycle and they become green again....... they're kinda sad looking for sure.
I've done revegg before, tool clones late in flower and grew them my last round, seems the time it took to switch back and start vegging again was a waste, I could have started a dozen seeds and switched them to flower faster then the reveg grew.
yes i could see it taking longer for sure if you did clones . have to wait for them to root then finally get then under 24 month of time wasted there a seed would be hatched already and 3 to 6 inches tall. taking a total plant with roots on it already will actually save 3 or 4 weeks and give you a bigger yield then that seeded plant if its done correctly . if a person were to have zero clue wtf there doing best to pop a new seed
Apologies again. They are female. You've got two different plants, both from RQS an Amnesia Haze and Blue Mystic. Both of which just seem to be dying. Light schedule is 20/4 I've just given them tap water and today now with CX Hydroponics Regen a Root and Wilt Guard I feel like I've done something majorly wrong and I haven't got a clue what as the advice given is pretty rudimentary.
All information I've found so far says the veg and flower schedule is exactly the same but you end up with a much bigger plant.....
I'm revegging with the idea of keeping my plant in a separate tent so I can reveg the same one over and over again when I want a particular strain.
Ya those are dead, I've found you leave the bottom 20% of a plant and stick it under 24 hour lights it has the best survival rate.
I thought about a reveg and this is what I found from 2 separate sources. Unfortunately, a lot can go wrong and usually regenerated plants tend to yield far less in every successive harvest, often show hermaphrodite tendencies, the quality and potency is reduced a lot of the times and the stress that comes with this process can also force the plant to take a long recovery (which eliminates the time advantage). Moreover, regeneration does not work with all strains and specimen of cannabis. The Pros And Cons Of Regeneration - RQS Blog
Those plants are way beyond reveg. Those are dead. Today's Forcast... Partly Cloudy With A Chance Of Amber.
