Reusing material for a batch of butter

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by dmanshead, Oct 14, 2009.

  1. I've been told you can add more butter to your strain and still get good buter. Has anyone else heard this?

  2. I don't know what you mean, can you be a little more descriptive?

  3. Like, add raw butter to cannabutter? If you haded 50 percent as much raw butter as you started with, the cannabutter would be half as potent by volume, which in some cases isn't too much of a problem, just depends on how much you want to be eating per dose. We made a batch last year where covering an english muffin with butter was way too much, I would eat half of one, and normally I don't get much out of edibles.

  4. I've been told that there are still plenty of cannabnoids that haven't yet got released into the butter. That at a certain point the butter is acyually saturated with them and cannot soak any more out. Sorry if it was confusing at first. I would just hate to waste anything is all.
