It depends, if they had a really funny rep comment sometimes I'll thank them with rep
but other than that, no

Rep whoever you want.... who cares what others think. I'm sure some people only receive and never give.... just like in the real world. I could probably name a few, but that would be mean

I don't think I've ever given it back just because someone repped me.... I only rep posts that I really like. If I just semi-like it... i'll click like =P

 

The whole "rep" thing is childish, I don't know of any other forums that have it. I do participate in it sometimes, but they could eliminate it for all I care - in fact that would probably be the best thing.

 

I don't return it but if its a positive rep or they leave a good comment i will toss out a thanks to them.

I totally agree. Most forums I am part of took it away, or never had it. It adds some sense of competition... and it makes people just go to threads to crack jokes and try to receive rep. After the sites took away rep, everyone was more civilized

Kind of a tease, isnt it? It gives you the selection, but theres nothing else to select for you anymore

but that's just because I never get any love.

actually a lot of forums use it. such as the hip forums and i think either bluelight or something else i'm forgetting. maybe shroomery?

 

I like the rep system. It's a different little thing. I rep only when the post is excellent.
