Required "Space Between Plants"

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by illegal-town, Nov 17, 2006.

  1. useing the hydrophonic method of growing, but trying to work out how many plants we can have in a certain space.

What kind of spaceing is required for "Northern Lights" for the plant to grow effectively?
The plant needs enough space for photosynthesis to get the light trough, but what whould be the minmum space?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. you want enough space so you can have adequate airflow and light penetration. plants that are too crowded together could hermie. you can get plants pretty close. just don't cram them together.

  3. It all depends on growing technique, SOG = 1 per sqr ft. LST depends on how sever, my last grow, which is in the drying phase, used limited LST with 3 sativa dominate plants, they covered 3.5ft x 5ft area.

  4. Tell us how big the space is, how you intend to grow, and what you're using for lights, and you may get a some more clear responses.....
