Reputation rules.

    Since I always hear everyone talking about how the rep system is abused on a daily-basis, why not make some rules as a sticky or something? So we can, at least, have some guidelines for people to follow.

    for real when i was a new person here i barley got any rep now people throw it out like its candy and blunt wraps

    Uh...we have a sticky in every forum that states the general forum rules and not many people pay attention to them. We have a sticky regarding the signature limits and very few people follow what SJ has asked. We have a sticky that states what types of posts belong in the Recreational Marijuana Use forum and people post whatever the hell they want in that forum.

    I could go on and on.

    Basically, the Rep system has become a joke. People give out rep for anything. They give it simply to help get people out of the red which is clearly abuse. They use the system to call people names since they can't do it in the forums. They sign the names of others to the rep. (I looked into trying to make is so the rep couldn't be anonymous but it isn't an option, unfortunately.)

    If we didn't have the system then we wouldn't have to worry rep abuse.

    Maybe stickies are a little out-of-place. (Look at the total thread views of some of them; very pitifull)

    It's a given that people are going to abuse it if there aren't guidelines anywhere. Maybe a few should be included when you click the scale at the top of the posts. And maybe a nice little "Not following these rules will result in action being taken". I think that might straighten things out better than they are now.

    The concept of including something when the scale is clicked on sounds like a good concept but it isn't something that can be done.

    The rep should be changed to little nugs and each person has an amount of nugs. Superjoint would have 10,000 nugs while a new guy only has 2 nug. nug, nug. nug nug nug, nug nug. nug nug. nug nug? nug, nug nug.

    but knowone would have rep if it was nug's cause people would just dip into their rep stash when they go dry

    When people get into negative rep, are the mods notified so the account is reviewed? If not I think this could help with the rep abuse because:

    - people who have negative rep for a reason can be taken care of

    -and so people who get there rep messed with can have a chance at the person who did it be taken care of

    So, whats going to happen now? do we still have to leave our name's at the end of the Rep so people know it was us? or will it automatically be put in?.

    That would be ideal, if there was a way that whoever send the Rep, the name is automatically written beside it..

    i never liked not knowing who was giving me rep.

    Thats deff a good idea for having the name automatically when giving rep.
