reputation question

    Why is it that sometimes I recieve neutral rep?
    I checked the FAQ and it says that the user does not have the requirements to hand out positive rep, so what does this mean exactly?

    you need light green bars to give rep. so if you have like 3 bars you will still give neutral. also something with post count too.

    what BluntCheefah42 said. The system still registers it as somebody giving you rep, but it doesn't actually increase your reputation.

    cheers, and how do you obtain light green bars? Is it by gaining rep or is it by posting a lot?

    oh right, seems a bit weird to think that you have to gain rep to give rep.

    I assume it's to ensure that people arn't giving out rep left and right where not deserved.
