Repotting question

  1. Ok, I started a grow just as an experiment for my first indoor grow, I planted 6 seeds in those red party cups and let them veg under a 150W HPS for 1 month then switched them to flowering, I was hoping to go their whole life span in the red party cup's only letting them get about a foot or a foot and a half tall but ended up letting them get a 11 or 12 inch's tall before flowering them. Now I am down to 3 after 3 showed they where male, and they are about a week and a half into flowering and 2 of the three have roots growing out of the bottom of the cups, my question is, can i just carefully cut the bottoms of the cups off and replant the entire cup into a new pot with fresh soil? Will the roots find their way into the new soil and be fine or will that not work?

  2. Carefully cut the cup away from the roots with small trimming scissors, not the other way around. Remove the entire cup and plant with no damage to the roots.
