repotting/nutrience

  1. okay so today i am repotting my solo cup grow to a much bigger 6x6 pot, plant is growing weird, the leaves are getting twisted. and the soil is really hard, i dont think its rootbound yet but from growing other plants i understand how repotting can help against root bound and will definately help the grow. now my soil choices are miracle grow moisture control soil and straight farm dirt (cow pig chicken manure that has fertalized the soil over many many years) i want to use the farm dirt because i dont want to put any harmful pestasides onto my plants. i also find that in the area that im taking from the plants grew to about 9 foot each. (blackberries and weeds and farm hemp(rope material)) can i use this with my plant wit no issue? i also have bats and theres alot of guano in my barn that i was thinking about making a small batch of guano tea but i dont know when to use that nor do i know what kind of bats they are, they are quite small tho.

  2. Not sure about the guano. If you have to compost it or if its good to go. But it could be high in n or p. As for yiur plants growing weird what are your temps in where the plants are. Whats he humidity? Lets start therr and factor that out. Also are you phing your water and if so to what? What water are you using? Tap distilled or ro rain water? If its ro or distilled water are you supplementing with cal/mag because they have no trace minerals in them. If using tap water is it treated with chlorine or is it well water? If treated with chlorine you need to let it sit for 24 hrs.

  3. i use a pur mineral filter on well water that is very high in calcium, i have the grow area in my room, its around 60% humidity and the area is at 70-80 degrees at any given time with a blanket and towel to cover the area(stealth grow) i was thinking about getting a heat pad and putting it around the plants like i did when i grew peppers in my room 2 years ago. i dont check the ph of my water but i would say its just fine, i grew other things with just tap water and they turn out okay. i was also contemplating putting a standard incandescent light into there just for a bit of heat not for the sake of light. its definately not root bound in fact ive heard of people using a solo cup for the entire grow and had no issue. as for soil is it okay to change them to the cow manure mix that has been brewing for close to 20 years at least? its got alot of clay in it as well

  4. should i stop with  the filter to get rid of the calcium? would the plant benifit more if i leave the natural well water with calcium and other minerals in it?
as for the soil should i go ahead and replant it into the organic composted soil or should i go buy a new bag of soil?
i just put a humidity checker into the area with the plant and it reads at about 40-50% how do i up this easily without a humidifier?

  5. i also have 5 reptile heaters that im going to add one by one to help with the heat to keep it stable at around 75 rather than 60 will watch the plant to make sure she doesnt get too hot. have a cup of water in the grow area with a heat pad under it to see if that helps. i also found 4 reptile uv lights that i supose would be good for the flowering faze to get more thc

  6. Your right on the money with the uv. If you have checked out my grow i have my hps in a cool tube. But the glass cuts down some lumens and the uv. But this is a sacrifice that i make to get my plants nice and close. My led is full spectrum amd has uv as well.

  7. I honestly cant say in regards to the filter. I dont know what you have for water and what the ppms are out the tap. I dont want to mislead you. I would maby give it a shot if its not too much work to unhook it. If you want to go organic you could put it in the soil. It all depends what you want to do. Im sure your organic matter is great stuff and the plant will love it. I dont know alot about organics im still learning some ropes befor i change anything up. Depending how big the area is with thoes plants a humidifier could be ur only option. I have trouble getting humidity up in my cab necause i have to run my fan at full rpms to keep her cool. But once i get plants in there its all in check.

  8. In less then likly three weeks your plants will have taken everythig from your miracle grow soil. Just befor then would be a good time to repot. I wouldent do it now give them a week to come back. Big thing right now i think is ph. Thats whats giving you twisty growth. Go to wallmart and get a fish tank ph kit. Make sure your around 6-6.5. The water will turn yellow when you add solution to it when you test. I can not vouge because i dont have first hand experience but apparently in full organics where you have a living soil you dont need to worry about ph. The microbes do the work for you and you just water stright water. Theres a good thread started by a guy named jerry. Gardening without bottled nutrients

  9. This plant is going into the 3rd week from seed, will definately check the ph in my water.
I know for a fact that my water has a lot of calcium in it that's all I know for that factor
Should I go but some distilled or spring water?
As I went away and added the bulb for some heat the humidity went down to the range of 20% in my grow area which is unacceptable so I have a cup of water with heat under it to possibly make a slow humidifier.

  10. How many nodes is this?
It's working on opening the 3rd set of leaves is that the 3rd node?

  11. i put it into a new pot, as was expected she was a little root bound hopefully that just got solved with my new soil. now has about 2 inches of soil under the roots that will definately let it grow better

  12. You got three nodes there bro. Its working on the fourth. I wouldent call it a node untillthe fan leaves are streached out. You dont need distilled or spring water. Yours should just work fine. Its the ph you need to worry about. Spring water is still around 7ph and so is distilled. You always have to use ph down. Only ph up if you fuck up. But you will have to ph what ever water you use. (Unless you run ph perfect from advanced nutrients or are in a living soil with organics

  13. Well she was repotted yesterday
Got a little too ambitious and topped her and removed all but one branch of undergrowth and looking at it now she doesn't even look like she changed at all so now I have a stick with 2 leaves and a small branch off the side image.jpg

  14. Its all learning processes. I remember my first run. Its hard to be patient. I have always kept a vets quote on mind. "A little neglect go's a long way. Not neglecting cleanliness or caution. But letting the soil dry out. Waiting to top. Not getting all happy with nutrients and really letting the plant tell you what it wants.

She should come back just be patient with her

  15. I pushed the two leaves downward hoping that it would push toward the Leigh's and they did, it was in the shape of a perfect t last night and then this morning it was in a perfect Y which lead me to believe that she's still happy and healthy

If it does wind up having issues can I cut the stem at the base and then use root hormone to essentially clone it but keep the same main plant

  16. sure do what you want!
chop this, top that, pig poo here, farm shit there
you wernt going to get any bud like this anyways.
