  1. Anyone growing in a rental apt/house? Any suggestions on keeping it private? Suggestinos for keeping landlord out?

  2. hey ,i am a landlord and can say thet unless there are complaints or ther is a problem in the rental ( water ,electric ,plumbing , something broke ) i dont even whant to go in there. as long as the rent is paid and i dont get calls about noise or anything i dont care what anydoese in my rentals .as long as you respect the property owner enough to put everthing back the way it whas or better then i wouldent have a problem,as long as i didnt know.
just pay youre rent when it is due and dont call him for stupid shit ,like changeing a light bulb and you will be fine

  3. got a place i can rent?? :)

  4. I would grow on the balcany of ya have one, as long as your not on the first floor.

Thas my plan when i get my apt in a couple months.

  5. rofl wtf on a balcony.. so the world can see it? I'll pass.

  6. Just search these forums, you can build some killer setups.

  7. Yea im well aware of the search function lol. Just wanted input from growers who also rent their space vs those who own a home.

  8. I have grown in an apartment yeah. Kept a huge cabinet that fit 4 fully grown plants sitting in my bedroom and had no problems. Just make sure you put blankets over the window and don't draw attention to yourself :)

  9. An inconspicuous cabinet with an inconspicuous lock. Light-proof with weather stripping, air cooled light, and a good carbon air scrubber. You'll want rubber dampers where you mount your fans and your ballast.

If you want Super Stealth points, get an air conditioner shell and put it in your window. Very inconspicuously put the cabinet close to it and run ducts from the cab to the window, into the AC shell. Voila!!

Ofcourse this takes money, effort, and caution. My friend had one in his apartment, and there were times when the landlord came in, even stayed for a beer- and never noticed a thing.

Remember, the difference between good and great is a little extra effort!

  10. This is a great thread. I am starting a grow in an apartment, and my biggest fear is getting caught by maintenence/landlord. I've designed my setup to be super-stealth, but I never thought of the rubber damping material around the exhaust fan. I'll definately do it now though. What kind of material do you guys recommend?

  11. ...In a grow box obviously.

  12. Outside so the smell can go everywhere, or extension cords laying out there? still conspicous. Whats the point of an indoor grow on a balcony?

  13. i rent and nothing has gone wrong so far... our house has a basement, whitch makes it easy no one even knows its their!

  14. Im starting a grow in my Apt. tomorrow athing im most worried about is odor. Any tips?

  15. lol b3rad that is the stupidest idea i have EVER seen posted.

    i seriously hope you're joking.

growing on a balcony is the most retarded idea, whether it's in a box or nOT! wtf??? did you even think b4 u made that post

GrizzlyAdams unless you have a whole room you can buy these little mini negative ion generators that get rid of the odor. Also checkout a product called Ionic Breeze.

  16. I grew in a closet of my apartment last year with no problems. THis year I am building a cabinet. I figured, the building owns the closet... they could make an excuse to go in there... A cabinet is my property. Even if he does suspect somthing. unless I really fuck up and make it easy to know ( not covering smell, lights, etc) he has no business in MY cabinet.

Thats the way I look at it.

  17. I stood outside naked on my balcony because it had like 5 foot tall side rails. If i can stand outside naked and wave to neigbors. You could throw a large box out there no problem. So it isnt the stupist idea ever as some claimed but more based on circumstances. * unless your on the ground floor thats dumb.

Also like the landlord said people dont give a shit what you do unless its obvious and no landlord or maintenance man comes to your house to peep on what your doing.

There come to make repairs check furnaces water heaters and smoke detectors and thats about it .

So any semi stealth grow box or closet grow is fine.

You will learn what and when your apartment or rentel folks come areound just just ask. so unless your new there it should be failry obvious what or were you can get away with growing.
