relationship between reservoir size/number of plants, etc?

    in a hydroponic system, what is the preferred size of the reservoir per plant?

    if I'm thinking right, a larger reservoir will be easier to control ph/nutrient/tds levels, but will be more expensive to run and fill with said nutrients.. and a smaller reservoir would be harder to control, but cheaper and more efficient in the long run...

    what's the real deal?

    real deal - The bigger the reservoir, the less you will need to maintain it - filling it, checking it, whatever. Thats about it, Depend how many plants, which determines the amount of nuted water to have at any one time.
