It all started out with me posting this on Facebook yesterday as a note:

I looked at my profile and saw that my 14-year-old cousin Amber's picture no longer appeared next to where it said cousin.
I looked and saw that I was unfriended by her
So I message here, "Why did you unfriend me?"
What can I say...14-year-old girls are dumb as fuck.

Her mom, my aunt messaged me with this:

    Hi [E n i g m a],
I'm sending you this message to let you know why the kids are no longer facebook friends with you and why I'm not taking your friend request. You have used the F word quite a bit, your non belief in God is not the same view as our family and some of the other things on you facebook page is not what we approve of in our house. We wish you the the best with blah blah, with finding a job and success in life.
    Love you,
    Aunt Val and family

So then I hit her back with these messages.
    -Lmao.
    -About typical of a Christian
    -Slaughter the heathens
    Praise Allah
-We have a right in America to believe whatever we want to believe.
If you guys have anti-American sentiments I don't know what to tell you.
-Out of all my "friends" on facebook, my cousin is the only one who acts like this and unfriends me because of my personal beliefs.
    She is very IMMATURE
    -AND Un-CHRISTIAN
That is NOT what Jesus taught.
Jesus told you to love they neighbor and your enemies.
-I am family, it shouldn't matter whether or not I believe in the bearded man in the sky. Get real. I feel sorry for anyone who believes in god if we want to be honest here, but I wouldn't delete them from my friends list if they did.
When it comes to religion there are two things people can be really:
    Agnostic or delusional

    AND THEN this message

And you wonder why I hate religion?
Did you read my the note on my profile?
I am INTENSELY disappointed in ALL of you.
ESPECIALLY YOU, you are teaching your children intolerance.
That is wrong, anti-american, anti-judeo-christian and not to mention EXTREMELY IGNORANT.
(Hypothetical) So if I went out with a black girl and posted pictures on facebook and amber took me off of her facebook, Is that okay? Is that acceptable? NO
Why not? Because it is intolerant, ignorant and prejudice.
    And I am family.

I don't desire to be facebook friends with any of you if ya'll are that bad a bunch of people if you would REJECT your family because they don't hold the same beliefs that you do.
What kind of (poo) is that?
I guess hate and prejudice was taught to you but it wasn't me.
I was given the right to choose my own religion when I was old enough, I WAS NOT INDOCTRINATED and PROSELYTIZED like your children have been.
And for that I thank my father.
MY father NEVER pushed his beliefs on me. Or put things before my eyes and ears that I was to young too understand therefore too young to decide.
And MY father NEVER rejected me for believing something different.
Doing so isn't love, it's called manipulation.

Undoubtedly you ALL need to meditate on what it mean to be a Christian.
Because apparently I know more about behaving and believing as a christian though you do. And I am a firm atheist (Just as most geniuses are, see links)
Talk to your pastor, tell him the way you have all turned your back on your family because they are different than you.
You think he will say it was right, I doubt you would admit that.
I would be embarrassed to admit that I was that obtuse.

OH and I hope you have a (freaking) dictionary handy.
    Good day Ma'am.

Then I sent her some scripture and the links from the belief in god show lack of intelligence thread.

She has yet to reply to any of the messages even the lmao and thats about typical of a christian that we a couple of minutes after her message.

    Bitches.
No huge loss, they are all ignorant and annoying.

  2. Dude.... What did she say ?

I post a wall of text with everything and you ask me this? lol :p
    Who?

  4. I know, what did she reply after that message?

  5. Allow me to say it a third time for you man.....;)

  6. I'm not surprised she removed you.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I wouldn't be using that kinda language on Facebook if my 14 year old cousin was my friend on there. :poke:

Let alone a whole rant about "F*CK RELIGION" when I'm sure you knew very well that you had religious people on your friends list.

I'm not a religious person at all, but dude, you started the whole thing by putting down your families beliefs. If they had just "found out" that you didn't believe in God and removed you, it'd be a different situation.
But when you start insulting what they believe in, of course they're going to take offense to it. :confused_2:

Facebook is a poor place for a soapbox, IMO.

  7. That's why it's my facebook
I also said believing in God is cool with me, I said F*CK RELIGION.
    Jesus could echo my sentiments.
If anybody has read the book of Matthew they would know this.

If someone made a note on their facebook that said "F*CK ROCK MUSIC"
I wouldn't delete them because they are insulting my belief in rock music.

  8. A "belief in rock music" is a bit different than a persons religion, dude. :p

I'm just not sure what you expected to happen. You know your family is religious, you posted "F*CK RELIGION" and a long rant about it in full view of your 14 year old cousin, and you expected them to... what? Go "oh my goodness, he's right!"?

Maybe if you had phrased your disapproval of their beliefs in a less offensive way it would have gone over a little better. ;)

  9. Fuck religion... more like fuck facebook.

I mean, fuck religion, too. But more than that, fuck facebook.

  10. Not really. Music is my religion.

If only I had entitled the note:
    Why I dislike religion
    lol

  11. That being said, because facebook is worthy of a fucking, it probably wasn't a good idea to make controversial posts on it. I was on myspace for awhile, because my friends got me on it - I would not have wanted to share that same space with my family. I never got on facebook precisely because all my family is trying to get me on it.

You're my fucking family. You want to know what I'm thinking? Pick up the damn phone, and I'll tell you. I don't need every random thought I decide to share with my buddies open to family scrutiny. And worse, now, potential future job interviewers.

  12. No offence op but you seem a lil too much butthurt... All this becouse your cousin unfriended you in facebook? Aren't you making a big deal outta this??

I am agnostic and I have dealt with family pushing religion on me aswell but all you seem to be doing is getting angry and wasting time...

Your aunt sounds very much like mine, and I know if I sent her messages like yours shell just ignore them and think am a little punk...

I know you don't care but in my eyes and ur aunt's (probly) youre losing this "argument" all by yourself...

  13. in all honesty i see where she's coming from, i mean you've probably posted some not-so-family-friendly messages, aimed at friends not family.

that's why i wouldn't think twice about adding any of my family on facebook besides ones that I know for real.

shit se's 14 years old, i don't blame the parent.

anyways about the god part blah blah conservative christian blah blah stupid etc

  14. I think we should all be accepting of eachothers beliefs

  15. Humans being social animals like it when other humans are kind of the same as them because we have an inborn instinct that different is bad

  16. Well my other aunt just added me and she is a christian I told her what happened in fb chat and she said

"well it is freedom of speech right?"

"your just saying what you are feeling i dont see you say anything about hating god"

"well you know the bible and that is good"

"did you tell her that god does not judge and you are not suppose to judge noone and love everyone"

I said to her: "I basically told her that she was behaving unchristian like
and that in america we have the right to believe whatever we want to believe
and that I was dissapointed in her for teaching her kids intolerance"

    She replies:
"lol you are to smart kido"

So all you guys gtfo with all the I'm wrong shit.
Some people are bitches and some are like my aunt Julie. ;)

  17. your aunties just trying to calm you down. Just let it go and at civil. If your aunt or who ever gives you beef over your beliefs again tell her you would like her to respect your beliefs and if she doesn't then destroy her intellectually.

  18. How do you know? And no.

It's a big statement. If your family deletes you off of facebook. Or if anyone does for that matter. Symbolism means fuck you.

    She is on my side.
"did you tell her that god does not judge and you are not suppose to judge noone and love everyone"

  19. Or it means that she doesn't want her 14 year old daughter to see you cussing up a storm on Facebook while going "F*CK RELIGION... but please respect my beliefs". ;):p
