I am doing a grow in a container and i figured hell i had so metal laying around so i would post it up around the grow area. Which side should i use the gold http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc80/q9p9q9p9/DSC01201-1.jpg or the silver http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc80/q9p9q9p9/DSC01203-1.jpg You can see both in this pic http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc80/q9p9q9p9/DSC01204-1.jpg i was thinking that the silver would work better but sometimes you guys are creative so lets hear it.
Again, I Like The Way You Think... I always applaud innovation, so, I hope you don't take what I have to say as a naysaying jerk to your ideas. But, I have an extensive background with working with architectual materials and elements - and, useing sheet metal won't give you the results you require. First of all, the metal is going to collect the heat in your greenhouse and make it hotter, and it is going to have diffused caustic properties like dull glass or a mirrior and not enhance a plants needs, but burn or bake it outright. - Tin foil isn't any better. Only thing I have found that does the trick is heat-absorbant reflective mylar and preferably you want the plants faceing the dull side.
why face the dull side? Wouldn't the dull side absorb light? I ask because I was planning to use mylar.
