Comment: Reefer madness in a final frenzy
"Just last month GW announced the results of clinical trials which show that its super-strong, super-concentrated, 51% THC skunk cannabis medicine Sativex has "…limited relevant adverse effects and - particularly reassuring - the drug does not appear to lead to withdrawal effects if patients suddenly stop using it." It's a far cry from the usual hysteria about psychosis and addiction."
Where the fuck can I get me some Sativex?
To follow the logic of your quoted post, the link between cannabis and psychosis does not, in any way, take into account the possibility (probability) of self medication. In other words, they never stop to consider the fact that people with preexisting psychological conditions use cannabis to self-medicate. When prohibition forces them to quit medicating with marijuana (work, school, law, etc) the original psychological condition returns, usually with significantly more intensity.
Instead, they just assume that cannabis was the cause, rather than the solution.
