To follow the logic of your quoted post, the link between cannabis and psychosis does not, in any way, take into account the possibility (probability) of self medication. In other words, they never stop to consider the fact that people with preexisting psychological conditions use cannabis to self-medicate. When prohibition forces them to quit medicating with marijuana (work, school, law, etc) the original psychological condition returns, usually with significantly more intensity. Instead, they just assume that cannabis was the cause, rather than the solution.
