ive only been to the redwood forest once but it came off to me as kind of a soft wood so i dunno. to be on the safe side you could always use a metal cone bowl they are cheap.
I think redwood is pretty hard bro I'm pretty sure I saw it on a comercial lastnight... and everyone knows that everything on TV is absolutely true so I'd say go for it
