  1. Here is a neat article that seems to show some promise I reducing brain damage due to impacts, especially in football.

    Woodpeckers have a tongue that wraps over their head, which apparently compresses the jugular vein, creating a back pressure of blood in the brain to insolate itself. So they designed a collar to go around our neck to emulate this, by compressing our jugular to induce the same effect.
