hey, i heard that track by KSR and was wondering how its done, are you just using a mic plugged into your computer ? me and some friends want to do some tracks on saturday night, we have a mic and the backing tracks on my computer (mp3s) and we want to record us over it. what software do i need? cheers for any help
Any program that allows mic hookups (basically all) can let you run a track and add another layer on top (ie, the vocals). The programs i use, Acid Pro, Fruity Loops, and Ableton Live and a few others. All those are mighty expensive (all together around $1200-1600) but work wonders. Go with Acid. Versions dont matter, but the newer, the more flexible the program is and usually, the more user friendly. But all you need is a layering program.
nice one coolrunnings, im downloading o) acid pro now so gonna see how it works, i just have a few mp3s with tunes on that we want to MC over and have it sounds good. ill let u kno if it works m8 nice 1
