Recommendations about Coco Nutes

Discussion in 'Coco Coir' started by 420BPM, Nov 14, 2021.

  1. So I am studying my first coco grow with hand watering.

I am gonna choose my coir among : Canna, Biobizz, Plagron and GH T.A. Proffessional Plus

    also

I want to use Coco specific nutrients as they don't require additional cal/mag (guess it will be harder for me to regulate EC)

Which brand is easiest to play with?

    Thanksss

  2. I've been growing in coco for decades and I use GH MaxiBloom from start to finish.........the only additive is silica.

  3. Mick's feed regimen is super inexpensive and shockingly effective for how simple it is.
I run GH 3 part plus a few other bottles in coco, but am looking to move to Athena AG. They are definitely worth checking out. Its the nute line that Jungle Boys helped design for their grows. On a different level than everyone else, but its going to cost about $400 to make the switch. From there though, its one of the least expensive pro lines to run.
Except for Mick's regimen, I don't think anyone can beat that for inexpensive and simple! And it gets great results. For a first time in coco, its probably the best way to go. You would have less moving parts to contend with in addition to a new medium. After a grow, if you feel you want more, then go for Athena. My two cents.

  4. Update: Changed to Athena AG, and holy crap, time and again for the first couple weeks I would open the tent in the morning and think "ahhh... so THAT is what these things are supposed to look like!"
All girls with more than 3 or 4 weeks left in flower were changed over mid grow, and only 1 plant didn't like the change. The others are all going HAM!

  5. I swear by Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur Coco. pH perfect technology, wetting agent in it, chitilated...
