  1. Can come people post some good screamo, rock, heavy metal bands that are kickass.

  2. I'll post some songs to check out too:

Dark Tranquillity - ...Of Melancholy Burning, Punish My Heaven, The New Build
Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis, Wizard in Black, We Hate You
Nile - Sarcophagus, Sacrifice Unto Sebek
Symphony X - The Odyssey, Evolution (The Grand Design)

  3. I used to listen to a lot of metal. Dark Tranquility is sweet..you should also check out Children of bodom, the haunted, uhhm lets see..Morbid angel, old metallica, old Slayer...those are the best that come to mind

edit: also if you like "screamo" you should check out Alexisonfire, I think that's the genre they are..I've seen them a couple times and they're pretty good

  4. you should check out boys night out if you want good screamo. They mix a lot of pop-punk and metalcore with their sound. That and theyre way down with weed.

check out anything off of the cd Broken bones and bloody kisses.

  5. Well, I can give some suggestions on some metal you might enjoy:

Municipal Waste - Crossover Thrash (which means hardcore/thrash) group. Some great breakdowns, great chanting vocals, mixed with awesome thrash sound.

Pig Destroyer - Grindcore band. Although they do have some breakdowns, which is unique. They also don't have a bass player.

Anal Cunt - Most definitely grindcore.

The Exploited - Get the album beat the bastards. I really, really hate UK82 punk, but Wattie took the band in a new direction in the late 90's. Put out some cool crossover albums.

Cro-Mags - The only album worth owning is the Age of Quarrel. They were pioneers in hardcore, right when the scene started taking back influence from thrash. They went downhill after the Age of Quarrel, but it's probably one of my best albums.

Agnostic Front - Another hardcore band, from the same NYC scene as the Cro-Mags. They have put out a variety of styles. Their first few albums, such as Victim in Pain were definitely hardcore. But as they progressed, they took more and more metal influence. If you want something on the metal side, get One Voice. You will need to get used to Roger's voice, it kinda sounds like he's taking a shit. They reformed after they decided to break up in 97, and recorded a few Oi! albums. Their latest release was Another Voice, which is trash.

  6. Symphony X
    Children Of Bodom (Death metal)
Between the Buried and Me, they have some good songs to rock out to.

    Check out some oldies:
Metallica (master of the puppets esp.)
Megadeth (Youthanasia, Elysian field are good songs)
    Iron Maiden

  7. check out bullet for my valentine

  8. I was going to say Between the Buried and Me, but it was already mentioned.

Listen to some Opeth. You'll like it, very trippy. If you want something softer, go for their album Damnation. If you want metal/trippy stuff go for their albums Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries.

  9. listen to some old metallica, pantera, megadeth, anthrax, slayer, exodus, judas priest.

  10. Damn it double post =/

  11. I'm sorry I was really high and misread the first post.

    Screamo:

    Pg.99
    Chapter 13
    Seatia
    Hot Cross
    The Locust
    Holy Molar
    Blood Brothers
    Melt Banana
    Some Girls
    Ex Models

    Heavy Metal:
    Nile
    Norma Jean

  12. Check out Job for a Cowboy, Bongzilla, Chimaira, A bullet for my valentine is pretty cool, especially the song "hand of blood"

  13. I just picked up Dark Tranquillity - Fiction. It's a great, great album. Pick it up.

  14. favorite high songs

burned out slow, by static disaster

pain, by three days grace (get lit, put on an actionpacked movie, and during an intense gunfight, mute the tv and play this song really loud)

tokyo drift, by terryaki boys (try gettin real lit and sing along to this)

dissasemble you, by my good eye

    sweet sensemilla, by mystic roots

peace of mind, by kottonmouth kings

    ribbons, by moss bluff

most of these are pretty cool imo, dont know much bout alot of the bands just a couple random songs. Most are pretty laid back ccept for Pain,

  15. The Receiving End of Sirens, an amazing experimental/rock band from Boston.

    My favorite band ever.

"Between the Heart and the Synapse" is their debut album, though they have some of their old videos floating on Youtube before they had three singers.

If I may recommend, search them through Youtube, "Planning a Prision Break" is a sweet song and video.

  16. Death from above 1979, greatest band ive ever found that not to many people know about. I used to listen to nothing but them but now I listen to more jam stuff to calm me down rather than get me pumped. It is a shame that they broke up not to long ago :(

  17. Yeah, I discovered them a couple of months ago. Good stuff.
