By now, most of you have heard this song, and probably hate it. To all of those that oppose it; don't. You're listening to it all wrong. She mentions a lot that it's Friday, it's Friday, and you should get down on Friday, which I believe to mean you should get drunk. She also mentions the weekend a lot, which I believe to mean Saturday. Why Saturday? Because you have church on Sunday morning, which doesn't really make it feel like the weekend. Also you have to worry about shitty Monday. To keep the song constant, she easily could of wanted it to say you get up on the weekends, but that would give away her intentions of getting high on the weekends too obvious. TL;DR: Get down on Friday = get drunk. Weekends (Saturday) = get high. Friday song a song about drugs.
