Really close call! (just a story)

  1. This is the first time I've ever grown a plant.

I used potting soil that had been sitting out on the porch for weeks. My plant gets about 1 week old and I find out its infested with microworms and fungus gnats. I then get some of that same soil and cook it in the microwave for 10 minutes on high, to sterilize it. Well after about 4 or 5 days in this toxic overly microwaved soil, it starts to wilt. To top that off, I forgot to put it in the light for like 7 hours and had to change its schedule completely. By now its almost completely dead and I could see it just giving up, wilting almost all the way down.

Well, to conclude my anticlimactic story, I replaced the soil once again with brand new soil from the store. Right when this poor little plant was about to completely die, it started accepting the new soil!! :hello:

In 10 hours it went from almost dead, to thriving healthily up towards the light!!
