i am ready to take the plunge into small hydroponics dwc growing,i think, from what i've been reading. the only thing i question is whether i need to change the entire 10 gallon reservior water weekly and waste all the unused nutrients,i realize that salts will form on the bottom,but,won't the plants eventually use these leftovers?, so, why not use the same solution during the veg cycle then change the entire solution at bloom cycle? can anyone clarify this?
I have used NFT hydroponics system before with a 80litre reservoir, throughout the grow cycle I have never once emptied the reservoir just added to it every time ive needed to feed. Just make sure to keep atlease one pump running inside the reservoir. However I have now decided to do a soil grow to see if my end product increases. Hope this has helped.
