Ready for harvest?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Shroombie, Aug 19, 2019.

  1. I have a CBD plant (Solomatic CBD) which has some buds that seems to be mature enough for harvest since there are no white pistils on them but it also has some buds that have a lot of white pistils on them. Should I harvest now or should I wait another week for the others buds to become more mature as well?
Also, I grow in coir and perlite, is it good idea to just water it without nutrients last week before harvest or does that only apply to growing in soil?

And here is another of my plants, a Thunder Bloody Mary. It seems to be in the same situation, one side fully mature but another side still with white pistils. I think my tent is a bit too crowded as I'm growing 3 plants in a 90x90 tent and they all grow at different heights.
I trimmed my plants now from dead leaves and turned them around in the tent hoping other sides become more mature until next week.

Should I hold off with nutrients now?

  3. Oh, Sorry for the bad pics on the second post. The light makes it totally unclear. But there are a lot of white pistils on one side.

  4. You are asking us to make a call based on pics way too far away. Read up on Trichomes.
Get a mag glass and use chart.

  5. I've searched a lot recently for pictures of buds that are ready for harvest. My problem is that some buds seem ready to harvest while others don't as they still have straight white pistils on them. I think it's because my tent has been too crowded and I've been forced to move the lamp higher because of the third plant that is much higher then these ones. Could my assumption be right or does the buds mature evenly no matter how the light is applied on them? If so, do you think it's wise to wait another week with the plants turned around so that perhaps the other sides pistils become darker too?

  6. I look thru mag glass and wait for 15% amber or golden dots at head of the Trichomes. If 15% amber than 75% will be ripe. You can't get all ready at one time do you go for best percentage. Also more amber, more couch lock. Do what you like. Early harvest is head buzz (euphoria) later is body buzz (stupor). Your call.

  8. Sorry about triple post. Dementia and shaky fingers.

  9. I should get a mag glass.
I think I wait another week for both though. I didn't know the plants needs to be flushed for a week with clean water before harvest.

  10. Haha, happens. It sucks that you can't delete a post. Thanks for the tips about 15% amber.
