  2. We're gonna need more info than that, and a few more pictures.

How long has she been in flower?

    How long did she veg?

    Indoors or outdoors?

Also, 5 feet tall seems very short for a Sativa.

  3. Hi blix,
she is a clone which I started in june, shes outside and I have no idea about weeks in flowering, I just cloned it when it was big enough I put her outside...sorry but thats all info I have...do the trichomes look ready, in your opinion?

  5. Can you get a closer picture of the trichs? I wouldn't harvest until you have a mix of Amber and milky clouded trichomes. If the plant is having straight white or clear trichs it's usually too early. The buzz is only good for a weak head high, much potential and gain is lost if it's pulled early trust me I've learned the hard way with one before it sucked.
It doesn't look ready just by ocular patdown. Sativa's usually take a while I'd expect to wait at least another 6 weeks if not more.

  6. my understanding is optimum harvest time is when trichs are milky white with very little amber and a touch of clear..

  7. Give it another week or two.

  9. Yo Poppy - I’m guessing it’s outside right?

I see the “it needs two more weeks” and “three more weeks responses” And ideally I could definitely use probably another month, and especially if it’s outdoors, but you need to keep an eye on your frost, depending on where you are. A good frost will kill a small plant like that - So on the nights it looks like it’s going to get down below say 37° To 38°, bring the plant inside (unless it’s in the ground) and put in a dark closet, making sure to put it back outside just before sunrise. If it’s outdoors in the ground then come up with something to cover it well.

I’m in northern New England and we’ve had plants easily go until Halloween but the effort needs to be made to protect them from Frost and cool damp nights. Moisture and cool will equal bud rot so be aware of that as well. If you make the effort though it’s well worth getting the extra several weeks in i’m in northern New England and we’ve had plants easily go until Halloween but the effort needs to be made to protect them from Frost and cool damp nights. If you make the effort though it’s well worth getting the extra several weeks in - it can mean the difference between good weed and fantastic weed.

  14. Unless you have a hard frost coming I personally leave them in and let them run through Indian summer unless you’re up by the Arctic Circle. It would be much Better to cover them up with something to keep the frost off of them and let them go another 2 to 4 weeks if it all possible. Now is the most important time and will totally and completely change the flavor and aroma Of your plants in a very positive manner.

I’m not sure how big they are but an upside down trashcan after dark would do the trick on smaller plants or even a TP made out of long poles and a tarp for a bigger ones. We’ve covered 15 foot tall plants this way in the past and it’s worked fine and allowed us to get the time that we need out of them.

This last month right now is crucial to do everything you can to get as much time as you can out of your plants…

  15. Yeah, I agree with you, I want to keep them out as long as possible (3rd week of October) basically the trichomes are getting milkier by the day so my guess is middle to 3rd week of the month should be ok however it has been raining daily and it's very damp. I have been using baking soda, veg oil with dish soap to avoid fungal problems, I 'm impressed with
the results. these plants are small as they average 5 ft tall. Out of curiosity are you allowing the trichomes to amber? I want to avoid ambering this time as a previous harvest was more amber and it did not give me the desired effect although it was an auto-flower and a totally different strain (blue critical).thanks for the reply I appreciate all and everyone's opinions
