As some of you already know, i am growing alien gorilla glue, i am almost 9 weeks into flower, i feel like she is taking forever to be ready for harvest. When I looked up the strain it says 8-9 flower time. So what do u guys think on time remaining. And the foxtailing. Im guessing its good but idk really.... It is happening on all buds,, its not hot at all in the grow tent, no more then 80 degrees. I even put my hand over the top cola for a good 60 seconds, and not hot at all! I have a fan blowing cold air onto the the light above the top cola, so temps are nice! I did have a moment during weeks 5 - 6 where i had to much nutrients in the soil. So is it genetics? Or did i do something wrong.
The couple of foxtails I had were much worse than what your plants exhibits. Foxtail will not change potency.
So is it normal for the growth to slow down? Or the ripening i should say... it really hasnt changed in a week from looking at the buds and even the trichomes. She is at week 9 today... still half the pistols are white. And most of the white pistols seem to be standing straight up... I have my lights at 10/14. I had it on it sense the Start of week 8.. so its been about 7 days the light has been on the 10/14..could that be the reason,,, i figured it would somewhat speed the process
How many gallons of soil are they in? If they're small, like 3 gallon bags, it could be they are stalling out sort of from lack of root space.
My last grow, I was testing what I could do in smaller bags (7 gallon) to try to save some money on the grows because I had been using 20 gallon bags on all previous grows and I was getting anywhere from 12 to 22 oz dry yield per plant. The 7 gallon bagged plants did what yours seem to be, stalling at the end. I gave them 3 additional weeks to 11 or 12 total before I decided to take them no matter how they looked. There was plenty of cloudy trichs and still some clear but now the Amber's were also starting to come in and they still didn't seem like they were ready... The bud turned out good and I'm happy with it but they didn't get as big as I would normally see and the dry weight wasn't even close to what I thought is was going to be. I moved up to 10 gallon this grow but I think I'll have a similar experience. We'll see. So far they seem alright but flower doesn't start until 10/1. My grow usually has about 70 days from seed pop to flip so I can train them out as big as I can for maximum yield. I think I'm gonna end up using 15 gallons or just go back to the 20s. How long did you veg them?
Interesting... i just did some research myself... so indoor and outdoor flower time is slightly different. .. For indoor, the estimated flowering time for the strain u are growing indoor, the " experts " making the estimates dont start flower time until they see the first flowers growing,, not when they flip to 12/12 ,, so they say its safe to add 2 weeks to the recommended flowering time when growing indoors Outdoors is different for obvious reasons i dont need to explain. If i remember correctly i had it in veg mode for about 4 weeks or so
4 weeks definitely should have been the right amount of time for you with the smaller bags. Yeah, I forgot about the in/outside difference. IMO, if they have plenty of space for the roots, they ripen on schedule. I've never had a problem with them taking so long in the past.
I do notice the roots wont let my finger dig into the dirt they are close to the top.. but thats normal as far as im concerned
