  1. I love you too, man! That goes for ALL of you! :D

  2. I loved that joke, haha.

  3. Attachment to effort is counterproductive, and yet the effort remains. We read, chant, sit in the still-still state effortlessly, but with determination.

It is semantical, and a dualism that has to be accepted.

Whether a baby is enlightened or not, the adult must try or no progress is possible.

What is "progress" though? The ultimate question of where we came from, and why are we here has not been answered.. therefore I believe we have made no “progress”. Ultimately though, I think we should rely on our pure consciousness, and not our ego’s to answer this question. Just be, and do not try to find “truth”, because your truth will only be subjective. There is a truth, and it is we are all conscious, separated by what we think is reality. Without this separation, we would not exist (wih the ability of seperate thoughts that is).

Hey this is WGTH. Just realised you were agreeing with me pintada. My bad bro! :hide:

Was real stoned when I read your post..

  6. A single beam of sunlight through the clouds can truly transform a dark day into something beautiful.

  7. Wish nature would share the beauty bud! Its pissin buckets here in Iowa. Nothin wrong with a little rain sometimes I guess.

  8. how could we appreciate the sun without the dark days......

  9. Very true my friend! It is when we learn to accept the rainy days are necessary to survive, that we appreciate the sunny ones. Hopefully the clouds part soon.. :(

  10. The light that fills my heart is not that of the sun...it is the pure energy that you hold that shines through the clouds of my own thoughts.

  11. One love friend. We are all the sun, shining with infinite beauty. May our clouds part soon, or suffer eternal darkness (talking about war here...)

  12. i fucking love the rain........;):smoke:

    sitting in the dark
    on a broken chair
    watching the rain fall
listening to the sky let lose her tears
giving her a shoulder to cry on
i wipe her tears from my face
and we go on together in spite of them all
when the world has turned its back on her
she knows she still fills my dreams

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like the moon, dragging in and driving out the tide, this life pushes and pulls me where ever I am meant to go....Im just along for the ride...

Sometimes the rain she brings me a comfort that nothing elts can...she alone truly knows my pain..
I sit and watch the sky and pray to feel just one drop....

It hasnt rained in some time and I feel it in my soul....
Something is missing, its all so dry...
The stones in the creek bed are dying of thirst...

There are clouds now in the distance.
    I feel them drawing near...

They call to me in my dreams...
Oh to see them fill the sky...
To feel them soak the earth...
I can taste the water in the air...

    Please let it rain!

    -----------------------------------------------------

it is one of those little gifts i look forward to.....
it makes the world feel so much smaller....

  13. I too like a rainy day occasionally (physically). Not mentally though..

  14. Very true man. I'm curious, do you meditate? If so, why?

  15. just wondering...do you meditate?

  16. Sometimes I "do" zazen, but I usually meditate with everything I do.

  17. Nice. Zazen I do think is necessary though to quiet the mind and regain balance between consciousness and ego.
