  6. So, does anyone have a source on any of this, or is this all just speculation? It just seems that everyone is assuming this will all happen and that the sky is falling.

Do you even know what the original ideals of a conservative where? Why would I vote for a true conservatard? Hmmm, lets see. Maybe because any real conservative is against drug prohibition and actually supports legal regulation. Maybe because a true conservative wants the government to shrink down as small as possible.

Maybe because I think liberals have fucking retarded ideas. Like creating a huge government, so It can tax hell out of everyone and waste it all. Maybe that would work, IF are government wasn't just a plethora of fucking incompetent jackasses with no idea how to responsibly handle that much money.

Liberals want a huge controlling government that babies everyone. I don't want my tax money going to millions of scumbags who don't deserve it. I don't want trillions of dollars being wasted on complete fucking bullshit that I don't agree with.

Maybe if you stopped taxing everyone and wasting it all and we all focused on creating jobs, trying to grow the middle class, and generally doing whats rational are country wouldn't be in such a shit-hole.

Heres a hint, you don't grow the middle class and reduce poverty by being robin hood.

The conservatives won a majority government because Canadians are angry that the other parties formed a quasi-alliance to block the implementation of the budget for the first time in the country's history. This "alliance" can't make up it's mind on anything and is probably seen by Canadians as acting childishly. Unfortunately, Canadians don't really have a good moderate party either.

This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, though. Canada is overall a generally conservative, pro-family country, and the socialists make up only a small piece of the puzzle.

  10. Most is speculation and will not happen. People over react to over speculated/conspirical politics way to damn much :/

  11. Doesn't matter who's in power. It's all the same shit. Obama flip-flopped on the whole green issue. But as a neighbor to the south of you Canadians, I feel for you all. Conservatives....*smh

  12. I actually like the conservatives economically but I dont like this whole "loosen restrictions on possession, get even stricter on punishments on growers/suppliers". Its like...why? I sort of understand..but at the same time totally disagree.

Is there any proof Harper is working on mandatory prison sentances for cultivation? Did you really say 1 year PER plant? I'm gonna need a little more info rather then just taking someones word for it because thats a big claim, and I hope it does not go through.

  13. While most of the things posted in this thread are completely unsubstantiated rumors, this one is true. I've stayed out of this thread until now because I didn't feel like arguing with people who have no idea what they're talking about.

Harper tried to pass bill S-10 through parliament twice previously, so it would be a reasonable assumption that he'll try again with a majority.
Legislative Summary of Bill S-10: An Act to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts

That said, as I have suggested previously and will continue to, if you want to see change, do something. Write to your MP:
Find your Member of Parliament using your Postal Code
You have to do something to let the government know that the majority of Canadians are opposed to bill S-10 and are supportive of legalization. The government works for the people, so let your voice be heard and push the legalization debate into parliament instead of online forums. If enough people write to their MPs with similar sentiments, we could see significant policy change, or possibly a referendum.

  14. NDP are the official opposition though, won't they have some input on what goes on?

  15. Global socialism!

  16. The beauty of Canada should not be tainted by right-wing imperialist scum. FUCKING RIOT.

  17. The world as we know it is dying. Here comes the age of FAIL.

  18. 2012 is right around the corner

  19. We are in for four years of hell. Harper also tried many times to pass a bill allowing him the right to access peoples personal information on the internet without a warrant. Lets hope in four years time people see how bad he is. Although the entire senate will be made up of conservatives so it will take even longer to get shit done.
