RDWC on the cheep

Discussion in 'Do It Yourself' started by diverasta, Oct 29, 2012.

  1. I live on the Equator and have a 12/12 light cycle all year round. This sucks for vegetating but is great for flowering. So I am going for 30 days veg indoors and flower outdoors. I tried with soil and the bugs drove me crazy so now I am trying hydo. Took rubbermaid containers drilled them out for a 3" net pot and am using a cooler for a reservoir also added a water chiller as it is very hot here and a small fountain pump. going to run with bag seed for a test run first before I put the good seed in there.

Just a forewarning - hydro tends to be more susceptible to pests. I use hot shot no pest strips and haven't had to worry about any pests since... there's plenty of other methods, I just find the hot shots the easiest.

Also, keep in mind that you'll bring pests in from outdoors - you need to be clean when going to your indoor garden; they have no natural predators indoors to manage pests.

The photos aren't working for me, though.
