RDWC Help needed guys plz

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Thoruk, Oct 24, 2023.

  1. These girls grow tooooooo slow…something have to be wrong… need your help to identify the problem please.

    temp: 22C
    Water Temp 21C
    PPM 350 on the 700scale (EC 0.5)
    PH 5.7 to 6.3
    Hydrophonic RDWC system

i guess my ppm either too low or too high? What ppm people give them at this size?

  2. They will appear to be slow at this stage of growth, this will frustrate new growers.
When did you plant the seeds?
    How old is the sprout?
They may not be ready for nutrients.
Are you running the nutrient flow 24/7, if so, slow down the flow rate, there might not be enough air in the rockwool cube. I run my nutrient flow 24/7 much slower on babies like yours. When the root mass is larger I increase the flow in order to cover a larger root system.

  3. You mean to slow down the flow only and keep the same ppm of 350?
    Thank you

  4. Slow the flow a bit, yes.
Also direct the flow away from rockwool cube. I make a “T” from a plastic drink straw. My Bonsai mom post shows the T straw, check it out.

  6. very nice, wow

    thank you

    they about 10 days old

  7. 10 days old, they all grow slow for everyone.
Seeds come with a supply of food to get them through the first 2 weeks or so. The common practice is start feeding seedlings after the 2 weeks of life. This can vary a bit, if the leaves start to be less green, give a weak solution.
Good luck with your grow. Keep us posted.

  8. Thank you :)

i reduced the flow, they look little better now…thank you
2 of them got roots outside netpot :D

Always a pain for me to start seeds in hydro…
Im using RO water… added 1ml/l CalMag from T.A. got it to 250ppm them added 5ml of grow/micro/bloom for 30L water instead for 10L as bottle recommend and got the soup to 350 ppm. Is this good to start? Is too strong for these Little babies?
Using led light 660W reduced to 50%
stem turn purple at this stage means its too cold?

  9. The temps are ok, a little warmer will be ok, also.
Since you use RO H2O your EC is going to be ok. If I’m starting seeds I will use tap water, mine is 170ppm. After a couple weeks I’ll start a weak solution of nutrient.
My system is different than yours so the individual characteristics and dynamics may be somewhat different.
You should be ok for now. Maybe the RDWC experts will start chiming in.
Maybe you should edit the title of this thread, include RDWC in the thread title. More folks might respond.
    Curious:
    What light do you have?
What nutrient products are you using?
What part of the world are you in?
    What strain of cannabis?
Post a photo of your grow area, it will be nice to see more than the sprouts.

  10. Thank you

what system are you using? NFT?

Terra Aquatica tri part nutes (grow / micro softwater / bloom), i tried NovaMax ( grow / bloom) But i keep getting into big troubles when in flowering… and im still confused about them and cal mag. Im still not sure if i have to add CalMag or not while using NovaMax. On CalMag bottle says “Warning: Do not use with T.A. Softwater formulations, DualPart Coco, or NovaMax: they already contain enough calcium for even RO water systems. To be honest i keept using CalMag as rust dots appeared on leaves showing they need calcium… but then 4 times same thing with different strains and in rdwc also in soil….like mid flowering leaves become redish/purple to me looks like phosphorus deficiency…everytime bad results. Maybe its about Mag…i really couldnt figure It out and at the moment im nearly out of smoke so cant afford another fuckup is why i went back to TriPack as with them i had best results 1,8kg in from 4 babies. But since that i was hopeing with NovaMax to get better as its supposed to be better and stronger…..oh well never done that good again…

First 2 photos are in soil…the color is much lighter then rdwc ones…you think i should add some water to lower the ppm in rdwc?

  13. Awhile but in this post I suggested you edit the title of your post to include the term “RDWC” to generate more interest from other members. It was probably the best advice that I could give you at this point.

  18. I’m sorry no one has chimed in. I’ll stick with and try to be some help.
I found this on the nutrient that I think you’re using.
    IMG_1756.jpeg
Does this look familiar? Take a close look, at seedling stage they are not combining Grow and Bloom. I think you said you were putting some of each, that will be too much at this time.
Get back to me and clarify if that’s what you were doing.
If that’s not your nutrient, take a photo of your bottles and post it here for me.

  20. I’ll look at this, using it should be no problem.
Sitting down to dinner now. I’ll touch base with you soon.
