If I recall the lead actor here was the lead in Blade Runner 2 Ryan Gosling a quiet guy or least used to play almost silent parts that I thought totally outta pace when a dominant personality is required like lead an action flic he did play Neil Armstrong in First man Ive yet to see currently: Project Hail Mary (announced) tries to save Earth while alone in outer space. The Actor (pre-production)loses his memory, stranded in a mysterious small town The Fall Guy (pre-production) uses his daredevil skills to moonlight as a bounty hunter Wolfman (pre-production)afflicted by an ancient curse after he is bitten by a werewolf. 2023 Barbie (post-production)Shame not the porn Barbie does ...5, we wanted
The Platform 8/10 because it's savage & the idea is original imo A slab of food descends floor by floor in a prison. The inmates above eat heartily, leaving those below starving and desperate. A rebellion is imminent.
Snap: The Platform(2019) 'el Hoyo' So glad someone else in the city has seen this, I was overwhelmed with the authoritarianism at the center of this flick, I thought it was a Spanish thing, I will have to watch in English to see any changes
Hell yeah I enjoyed it man it's definitely 1 of the weirder films they have on there... It wasn't what I was expecting man I was thinking it'd be just be some gorefest prison style film the gore was good though
Blade Runner 2049: Not too sure on my rating, maybe an 8/10. The cinematography is a 10/10 no doubt. Worth watching simply because it's visually fucking orgasmic. The story though I felt was too long or at least stretched too thin. Also was kinda hard to understand at least compared to the 1st. There's just a lot of different shit to absorb. Also Jared Leto is cringe imo. Very depressing and emotional and sadly quite reflective of the modern world now and how the world seems to be heading. But also highlights the beauty of the antithesis of a lot of that.
Just watched Nope. I'd recommend I guess. Not great, not horrible. Watchable, which is actually better than some recent movies. I lasted less than 10 minutes of the recent Jurassic flick. Just could not get into it. The new Thor movie was tolerable. But Taika Waititi's movies are getting to be a little too much Taika Waititi-ish if you know what I mean.
Zodiac 10/10 because it's savage as fuck + the killer was real... I turned on the TV the film happened to be on 15 minutes in & this happens.. So I turned it off & watched it on Netflix
BlacKkKlansman, I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. IMO, I think John David Washington is a better actor than his dad.
Carter (2022) - 6/10 It's not the greatest story and the acting is kinda meh but it's got some pretty cool camera work and fight scenes. It's non-stop action. It seems to be all about the camera doing things you wouldn't expect and long single-shot scenes. But it's too long and has a lot of shaky cam. No need for it to be 2 hours long. Here's one of the single-shot scenes. You can see where they stitched the scene together but it's still pretty cool nonetheless.
It sort of reminds me of "Hardcore Harry" I think it was called. They filmed an entire action movie from the perspective of a First person shooter game. This one looks like some good fun anyway. I'll check it out.
The origin story of the Predator in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, not great but OK, no real story change I dozed thru it ....lol
Reading the book now, you betcha like all Weir's books then the movie is made ..lol An astronaut tries to save Earth while alone in outer space. to star Ryan Gosling (see above) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Hail_Mary out 'sometime' later this year
I Watch Jason X 10/10 It One Of My Favorite Friday The 13th Movies. Spoiler: Futuristic I Love How It In The Future An Space Ship An Near The The End Jason Become A Cyborg Version ~Toni~
Watched 'Stranger Than Fiction' for the first time last night. I was very stoned & a little bit tipsy so it may hinder my judgement, but I'd give it a solid 7/10. I was wondering to myself if Will Farrell had ever done any more serious drama pieces & while it has it's comedy, it was a pretty deep film. I was fully engaged throughout. I felt it had a nice lesson on living your life to the fullest while you're still around, it definitely made me want to set some goals.
Goon - 9/10 I'd give it a 7 but it gets a +2 for being about minor league canadian hockey and cameos by the trailer park boys and georges laraque. It's rude, it's crude, and it's everything I love about hockey
HEAVEN at last on Earth, a 'mans movie' for a 'mans world', then the memory wipe machine breaks down, When artificial human Meredith is assigned as a companion to grieving widower William, she is designed to behave like his late wife. But in the fight to end AI exploitation, an organization attempts to sabotage her programming. A muddled silly script that should have spent more cash and time on, some great one liners that will get you a slap as I found out, as a lot of these shaky SF movies need comedy as in this movie...lol Stoner Value - High (No ugly women! ...slap) ps I'll be watching again, solo, as theirs many things 'nag me' here
