I do not like rap. I love any genre besides country and rap, in fact. However, when I toke it up and get blazed I love rap. It's a strange situation. Anyone care to help me feel like less of a traitor to my musical beliefs?
Theres good music in every genre.. I thought I didn't like country until I listened to Uncle Tupelo and their successors Sun Volt and Wilco. Well their like alt-country. Just can't stand pop music [including rap/country/rock everything]. Pop music is just mindless

maybe smoking weed is making you appreciate another genre of music a little more? nothing wrong with that. and weed does make all music and movies better, but ive found myself smoking and listening to something id never listen all the way through while sober and started liking it.
well...most good rap was made by people who were high so it only makes sense that it would sound better high...nahh.. being high making almost anything sound better Maybe cuz rap is an art and when you listen to it you can see as you want to see in it... Or think want you want to think. It's like the ink splotch test...in audio form
I'm in the exact same boat as you. Really more into classic rock and modern indie music, never been into rap or country. A lot of my friends like rap and when we blaze and listen to it I really enjoy it, even though they apologize all the time to me cause they think I hate it
Haha! Exactly man, you know what I'm talking about. First time I noticed this we listened to some group called NOZ or NAZ or something like that. I was so stoned, it made it sound so fuckin' cool, lol.
