  1. What the hell. This "statement" is NOTHING. Why are people making this to be such a huge deal?

  2. I was in Point Pleasant actually. Little shit town on the Ohio River.

  3. ahhh Point Pleasant... maybe the bar had a membership requirement so they could the mothman out. :p

I could picture him turning into quite an asshole after a few drinks

Interesting how you cut my reaction away from my analysis. Yeah, what you quoted was sort of meant to make a point about the issue itself. What's quoted is the brainstorm without any political consideration, what you cut was my opinion of the politics.

This is one of those places where (it seems to me like) it's not a great idea (politically) to stand your ground. I see it as a mistake on his part that people are even talking about it. Say what you want, but as far as I can see, this was preventable by Mr. Paul. But apparently, it's on the table, and now everyone is going to mull over it and that seems like the opposite of a miracle for anyone.

Unfortunately for Mr. Paul, that's the right move. Might have been a hard pill to swallow, though. If I were him, that'd have been a pretty significant staff argument to convince me to swallow my pride and do it.

That's a tough beat, though. I can see his point intellectually. Unfortunately, you have to campaign toward the majority who are not typically intellectuals. I feel myself strangely impressed by the fact that he would take this stand, but it's obvious that it's a mistake.

Separate emotion from any of what this guy was saying, and you can have no objection.

  5. Maybe it's cuz it was discussed ALL DAY on the news channels.

Rand Paul Rips George Stephanopoulos: Your Talking Points Come from MSNBC, DNC

Hilarious how they continue giving Obama a pass on everything, but suddenly their sleuths when it comes to political opponents of Democrats.

  11. At this point I'm starting to suspect that Rand Paul may be a grandmaster chess genius that is playing a game with the media so far above our level that we can't even comprehend that it's taking place. Like Gandalf, while we see his one action, he has already planned the next 4 billion moves in advance.

  12. Don't worry George is already on the list. ;)

  13. Rand Paul wants to help the wealthy and big business!:bolt::bolt::bolt:

  14. So I have been wondering this for a while, guess this is a good place to ask because of the video that started the thread.First off, I am apolitical, and I get a laugh out of both sides of your bipartisan shytstem.

Ok, so I have been noticing, when a Conservative video come out, and says some really stupid shit, or in the case of this video, doesn't even answer the question for almost the whole segment, and then gives a half ass answer.... Why is it that the Conservatives go wild like they are the Afrakan eye witness on Mad TV like dem just said something AMMMMMAZING? Are you guys trying to talk up your side by intentionally side stepping the fact that nothing significant happened or was said, or do you really truthfully hear the words Conservatives speak and start rubbing yourself even if it was a step above gibberish?

  15. I watched this shitstorm unfold a couple days ago on MSNBC. Is what he's saying that obtuse and unheard of to the political media elite? Haven't they studied libertarian political philosophy before? Paul & his dad are firm believers in private property & the Constitution, especially the first amendment.

Jeez. I give Rand & Ron respect for calling out the media on their bullshit.

  16. As I pointed out earlier in the thread, the same media going nuts over this argued that it was ok for gyms to serve only woman. They based this on the exact same argument Rand is using now. So, that should clue you in to what this is all about. Its another media smear campaign the likes of which we've seen over and over again.

  17. Yeah cause it's ok for minorities (or precieved "oppressed" minorities) to be sexist or racist. Everyone knows that......it's the American way.

  18. Um, this thread is about the media insinuating the support of private property rights equates to being racist. Sorry you can't understand basic intellectual concepts.
