Raising PH with hydrated lime. how much to use?

  1. I currently have several plants in flower in soil. They had begun to see yellowing on the lower branches. I tested the soil and my PH is low 5.8. I have some hydrated lime, but I'm not sure how much to add. They're in 3 or 5 gallon pots.

Does anyone have a conversion chart so I can find out how much to add to increase the PH?

  2. I'm nearly positive that its 1 teaspoon to every gallon.
