AHHHHHH I went to radio shack and spent 10 bucks today and bought me one of those 60x-100x mini micros. And was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to keep a clear view in it. And also when i look at my big fan leaves through it they look like they have been dusted with some silver glitter or something what in the hell is that. Thanks. -Peace
WTF how are you susposed to spot a preflower when all those little clear spikey thingies are all over the stem and any new growth UGHHH, Im confused and frustrated.
Im not sure but you might have way to powerfull of a scope. I think you only need about 15-30 power. But once again im not sure.

I am not sure so dont get tp upset yet. Im just going of the fact that my local grow store only sells them up to 30 power. They have like 4 differnt one from 10 to 30. I have never used one but if your using for sexing the plant it might be over kill
And its kinda hard to find the fourth node in this mess. Well that aint no shit about the world being different close up. i mean HOLY SHIT my plant is fuzzy. And shouldnt you be able to see the preflower even with a high magnification.
me2 just have patience with mine they showed sex on branches before the main stem,10 bux for the scope sounds like good deal.I am hoping someone doesnt say its pollen on your leafs but id think if it were you wouldnt need the scope to sex because it would be obvious,do you use epsom salt in a mister bottle?that might be it,just a idea,check out my grow in journals-peace
Nope i dont do any foliar feeding. I nute with shultz plant food and give extra nitrogen with some blood meal but not no spraying on the leaves. But i do see what looks like water droplets on the leaves under the scope. But not without magnification and they are really glistining. Wierd so much i did not know haha. I like my purchase hope it is not over kill. Its hard for me to manipulate the scope around to follow the stem. I guess i need to work with it some more. Thanks p_dj BTW i think i see some preflowers in a few spots but they are not showing any pistils (they are tear drop shaped though) But extremely small. Through the scope they look like just clumps of fur tucked down in the node. I will give them a couple more days then check again.
dude you got the right one, i have the same thing and once you get used to keeping it steady, you'll love it. when i'm checking the color of my trichs i clip a small bud-leaflet off and put it on a table to keep it steady. you'll get used to it soon, and once you get a good look at your homegrown up close, you'll never regret spending that $10.
Just a little patients and it will be evident in a day or 2. The microscope is best used to determine harvest time i.e. checking the trichomes. By the way its only 1-2 days from first signs under a micro of preflower till you can I.D. by eye.
Ahh cool for somereason on my last grow i never saw any preflowers and veged for 2 months. But my first grow was freaking horrible i cant believe i am even talking about it. Thanks though
