QWISO that bubbled?

    Ok so yesterday I made a very small batch of QWISO for myself. I saved the trichome laden stems and trim from my Grape Ape, shook for 30 seconds in 91% Iso, poured through a coffee filter and into a small dish for evap. Fan blowing and window open. Dried in an hour, I let it sit for eight before I scraped. Here's what I ended up with. Like I said, it was a very small yield intended for one use.

    Ok so here's the part that confused me. Previous batches of QWISO that I've made (although previous batches were only grinder hash) never bubbled the way this did. I put a small amount of bud at the bottom of my bowl, then dropped all the hash ontop, and as soon as I lit it and started to hit, the hash bubbled. I know bubble hash is meant to do that, but this was definitely not bubble hash. Does anyone know what happened?

    a bit of residue or something wierd.

    Haha no doubt did it work perfectly, I was just surprised to say the least when the fruit of my labors started bubbling like crazy :p

    Hey, I just made a big batch of qwiso from washing a shit ton of kush stems and my grinder and stash jar. I've been smoking it ontop of my bowls for a week now and it bubbles every time. I just hold my lighter a little above the qwiso and let it bubble and then get a lil bud burnin too. Works great, i think it's supposed to bubble if it's real good.

    Nope, you have every right too haha. It looks like you had a good wash. That looks like mine does before I balled it up.

    Yeah man I was satisfied. I'm gonna wash my grinder next week, I'll combine that with more trim/stem wash and hopefully get a bigger batch

    i got close to 8 bong bowls toppings with the qwiso i got from like .4 in stems and just the crystals off my stash jar.

    and i had to smoke it all in one day as i couldnt be that high everyday

    Right on man. Qwsio is some amazing stuff man. I'm so thankful that I found a thread on GC a while back so I could start making something amazing out of stems and trim.:hello: Good luck with the next batch.

    Ya considering most people just throw their stems away you can get a substantial bounty off them if your smokin the danks i can get anywhere from .5-.7 in keif from a gram and a half of stems or a nice wad of some blonde qwiso.

    I forgot I had been saving stems up and looks like I have around 13 grams of frosty stems. Maybe it's time to wash them and do one in the grinder too.

    most any good hash bubbles or melts.

    qwiso washes of 15/15 instead of 30/30 return full melt bubbly hash thats generally the color of the trichs. white, amber, purple ect.

    oh i guess you did 30. i should have added *15/15 with bud or sugar leaves. before i started making oil i would vary my qwiso washes depending on the material used.

    for stems i would do 10/10 soak/shake or just an all out 20 second shake with no soak time. =round 3/4 melt give or take.

    bud id use a 15/15, strait 30 or 20/20 or strait 45 depending on what kind of qwiso i wanted. =full melt-3/4 melt

    the 10/10 or strait 20 second washes with bud would often come out a pure white color with a consistency of finely shattered crystal. low yield obviously but completely melts & disappears when smoked leaving no ash.

    try bho though. doesnt pull out plant sugars, yields more and is better quality. thats good qwiso though.

    Thanks for the tip man! I was thinking about trying out BHO. Is it easier than it sounds? Essentially don't you fill a tube with bud, filter off the bottom end, spray the whole can of butane down the tube, then let the juices collect in a glass dish, right?

    Yea that is it pretty much. I just use a pipe with one hole at one end and five at the other. Put a coffee filter on the end with five holes and screw the cap on. Put your bud in and screw the cap other on. Spray the can till its all gone and then just evaporate all the butane liquid away and your done. I put mine in hot water after to speed up evaporation and to get all the butane out. Scrape and smoke.

    dude me and my friend made a batch like two days ago, same thing happened. but our shit came out ambery and gooey. not like rez gooey but gooey enough so that we didnt need it heat it up a lil bit to work with it. got me soooo faced lol
