  1. so this new job i got has a strict drug-free policy. if there's an accident that happens, you go directly to get a drug test. im a huge stoner, for a few years now. (i would say pothead, but for some reason that just sounds harsh right now). after the new year i plan to stop smoking, for reasons like i dont want to lose my job. ive stopped smoking for a couple months in the past, but just because the herb was no where in sight. any advice on this subject? i know its not anything like quitting cigs, but its a hard thing to move past when i love the herb :smoking: soo much. for this job, theres only one way out of this, i just want to know if anyone's been in the same position, and what you might say. but until the new year, smoke on!

  2. I quit toking a couple years back. It's really not that difficult.

Keep your mind occupied when you're just hanging out. After a couple days you will hardly even think about it. I didn't even miss toking one bit after a week or so.

  3. Carry water with you at all times.by the gallon. it's usually a urine test and you can beat it

  4. did you ever go through a 'withdrawal' phase. i remember the first time i stopped for a couple months i felt not my sober self for almost a week, complete lack of motivation and even mild depression because i wasn't smoking i feel.

  5. If I did, I didn't notice it.

At that point in my life I was drinking quite heavily, and I actually increased consumption to deal with the sleeping problems often associated with quitting toking.

  6. I personally wouldn't work for a company that feels they have a right to tell me what i cant do in my own time.

You must really like your job, so good luck with giving up and try find things to take your mind off weed.

  7. lol....

i worked somewhere for four years that had the same policy, drug testing in an accident.

Never happened. In my opinion, not worth it for that, you can buy things that allow you to detox in one day or less, and they HAVE to give you at least 24 hours notice as to when it is, since it isnt a "random" test, at least thats how my job was....

but more power to ya if you dont want to risk it man. good luck.
