Quitting caffeine...

  1. God, I hate that I'm even addicted to it. Last year I went for a couple months without it and it was the best I felt in a long time.

Then, one day, I decided "what the hell?" and drank a pop. I just didn't stop. If I don't have any caffeine I feel tired, irritable and get horrible headaches. So, instead of giving in to the headaches I will fight it and chug some water.

Cappuccino is going to be where my problem lies, because I love that shit. I love medicating with some herb and having a nice cappuccino/hot chocolate mixed together, it tastes so delicious.

  2. At least you aren't trying to quit heroin.

  3. I gave it up recently and it was fucking hard! The first 3-4 days were the worst (BAD headaches, tired, irritable, etc). It's been two weeks, and even though I really want a coffee, I feel so much better. I'm actually amazed at how much better I feel.

  4. I could never quit using heroin.

  5. I like to joke with my mom that she's nothing but a glorified drug dealer for owning a coffee shop and roasting her own coffee. Caffeine addicts are some of the worst out there for the simple fact that they can't function what so ever without their fix...

Have fun trying to quit caffeine, although it's not too bad an addiction if you do it in moderation and always make sure to stop by the cafe before you do anything.

  6. sorry to hear that man

caffeine is hard to quit, seen family friends go through it

and it's even harder to quit i think cause it's widely available, legal as hell, and cheap

    good luck, man

  7. For the record, I don't really do heroin. lol

But thanks dudes...it's not a big deal, I'll be all good. It's not like Jessie on Saved by the Bell with her caffeine pills. "I need them, ZACK!"

I'm looking forward to not having heartburn issues also. When I started drinking too much pop I get crazy heartburn some days.

  8. LMFAO at that Saved By the Bell shit..

  9. Fuck i feel your pain. I'm very badly addicted to caffeine, quitting cigarettes is piss compared to quitting coffee, I used to get free espresso at my job and now I'm literally a fiend. I drink about 6 double espressos before mid day. Once starbucks made me speak with the manager and officially acknowledge that they weren't liable if I died as a result of drinking the 20 shot espresso i ordered, clearly I didn't die but I fucking badly need to quit drinking coffee too.

EDIT- by the way drinking a 20 shot espresso immobilizes you and causes intense closed eye visuals.

  10. Holy Christ, dude! :eek::eek::eek:

  11. Caffeine can get so strong.
Once I took 12 caffeine pills, so like 1200mg of caffeine.
Shit gets you amped like amphetamines!

And makes your heart feel like its being weighed down by a sumo wrestler!

  12. I just started drinking a lot of caffeeine .. and supplements .. is that really hard to quit

  13. I built up to it first but a girl died quite recently of a supposed 'caffeine overdose' and she only drank 7 double espressos over the course of an hour, I downed the twenty shot and literally could barely get home then I fainted and started hallucinating/dreaming but i was awake and couldn't move then eventually when I 'woke up' about 13 hours had passed. it was pretty shit to be honest I wouldn't recommend it.

  14. Uh, look up and answer your own question..

  15. I recently quit caffeine. Its only bad for like 2 days and weed helps ALOT. I'd feel like shit then take a couple hits and feel great. Also when you quit do it on a span of 3 days when you don't have to do anything. When I was going through withdrawals I didn't want to speak with anyone or do anything so just pick a weekend and stick with it

  16. I haven't had caffeine since my early teens. I have a severe allergy to it, which lands me in the hospital with multiple IV's and shots. Its terrible.

No chocolate, tea, soda, anything of the like. I constantly have to read what's in my food, ask what's in it, etc.
