I'm starting a 4x2x8 closet dwc grow with 4 plants (each in 5 gallon buckets) Before I go onto the next leg of this journy and purchase all the expensives I wanted to run it by some experienced out there. 400watt hps/mh conversion. is it gonna get to hot in this little space whereas I'd need an air coolable system? http://www.htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=229 or could i get away with somethin like this: http://www.insidesun.com/index.php?action=item&id=72&prevaction=search&previd=&prevstart=12 and to be honest I'm real lost with ventilation, well what to get anyway. Suggestions are appreciated. I'm not venting into anything but the room the closet is located in. Whereas I was looking into purchasing a carbon filter for whatever exhaust fan I end up with. More or less just tryin to budget my grow, make some final steps and smart purchases. Thanks!
wow man sounds like a chill set up, i dunno much about lights but it sounds like you got a good start, hope you and your homie down south can get it all set up and start busting out with the uber-nugs ~Squid
mdhydro.com has some things. but the only way it works if you search. search kool tube. you might get a nice result
I'd say go with the one that isn't air coolable and use that extra money saved for a nice vent system.
With the size of the closet u will need decent ventilation however instead of going with the cheap set up and letting all the heat get into your garden. I would create a set up similar to this so that the heat from the light is instantly exhausted and the rest of the garden would be decently ventilated as well. I'm not sure what type of door u have on the closet i assumed when i first made this pic that the closet had sliding doors so I'm not sure about your inlet but this should be decent for your exhaust.
i would suggest using a hood that is vented, Is it possible to vent into the attic? Just a suggestion, I also have a small area and you will be surprised how fast it gets warm. All my vent goes thru the light and outside, temps stay very stable.. good luck buddy!
